You are very familiar with the technique. I suggest you build a metal structure to sit on, to guide the tractor from sitting. The structure, with side members, will stand on a two-wheeled axle. You will ensure that you can keep the direction as you see it now.

I hope you didn’t forgot to put some valvoline in the gear box. To make things go easy, just buy a small pressure washer to clean your parts and then you can use the paint remover more accurate.
