Are you planning to put casters on the chair? That would raise it up an inch or two. The addition of wooden feet that can be stained to match the chair could boost it even higher. It certainly looks great now, very elegant and stately -- just rather short!

Thank you very much. Yes, I wanted to do traditional upholstery because it wouldn't have looked right with a foam filling. Animal hair is so expensive and so hard to get so I researched the coir as an alternative and it was amazing to work with and the chair is so comfortable. So win win and I will probably use it again for more projects. Glen Allen just looks wonderful. So pretty. Hopefully my new project wont be as hard as it looks... but I doubt it.😂

Thank you very much. So I had two pieces cut out. The first one I put on was the opposite way around so the leatherette would be seen from the back. Then I added some cotton fibre and secured the other piece over it. 🙌

Hi Leanne! I"m sorry that I had to leave right away after the video and didn't get a chance to comment on it. My cat Missy (the Garfield lookalike) needed to be fed, and I also needed to start the prep for our supper. It's in the oven now, and I have almost an hour to myself. So good to sit down! I really do love what you did with this piece! I didn't even notice how tiny it is. I guess it's because I missed the into and the comments associated with it. I did go back and watch the beginning. Yep, a Hobbit would fit perfectly in this regal chair. It turned out so nicely, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you! You always give it your best. I definitely prefer the attached seat to the cushion. Those things never stay where they're supposed. Being that I have OCD, I'd be rearranging it constantly. LOL!! You really had a good viewing audience today! You have so much support!! You didn't need ME there, but I'm so glad that I was. I don't normally watch Premiers with chat because I get easily distracted from the video or the chat. See what being OLD does to a person??? Hi Karen, I'm so glad you were there. I really appreciate all the support you've given me from day one. Yes it was a bit manic. I'm still getting used to all this youtube and social media stuff so I thought I'd give the premiere a go. I think it helps with the promotion side and kick starts the algorithms.
