the paint of the engine bay looks better than some body paint jobs from other guys. As for the masking; another youtuber uses tinfoil for lines or parts like the brake booster, he says it´s faster. As always, perfect job, thumbs up.

Brilliant Job dude! Just five cents from my side: before applying the filler, take an epoxy filler first (just like Mipa EP 100-20 2k EP Grund). Done so many Cars for years and no rust came back! I‘m doing the same job right now on a BMW 635csi😉

Just a little comment, a year or more ago you mentioned doing away with the voice over. Among many others I said it would be better with the commentary. You quickly went back to it and I just wanted to mention it is noticed and appreciated. I guess I'm saying love the videos, keep up the good work.

I know that filler is necessary but there is a possibility that it can absorb water before painting and start process of rusting under the surface. The best way is put filler on antirust primer, then adding the filler. BTW I appreciate your work and I think you'll finish that car perfect

Whilst UPOL Fant3 (the purple tub) is great, you might find Evercoat far better to work with. It provides better results in a lot of cases, in my own opinion. Our bodyshop use both, and personally i prefer Evercoat.

You have had some difficult times with this Mercedes, I do not know how you could bid this correctly with all the hidden damage. Never the less, it has been a great journey. Next time you make a profit think about a ball joint tool that is more modern, the new ones work great and save lots of time and effort. Looking forward to the conclusion and seeing you smiling again

German cars like Mercedes and Audi have some of the Best undercoating i have ever seen. Do you happen to know what product i could buy to undercoat classic cars? I have used raptor liner but that stuff will chip off over time

I also use alot of rust converter on my cars when I see tiny spotsof rust, but why use it on bare clean metal? Might it not interfere with paint adhesion?

I agree, no sense to use a rust converter on bare metal. Sure, it will stick somewhat, but proper primer is better. Ideally 2K epoxy primer.

you putty directly on bare metal? a little tip use either metal putty or glass fiber putty both don't draw water either prime first for that i would use an etchprimer/washprimer and then putty

Isnt it better to paint the bare metal with an etch primer first. Filler has moisture and the rust starts straight away.

Just a smal tip: metal grinding dust is very harmful for yer lungs. Always wear a suitable respirator
