Restoring 500$ Jetski 4K

I picked up this 1991 Yamaha Waverunner for 500$ with the trailer. Lets see if we can get it back to that original look.

Quick Update! I bought a 95 Wave Venture 700cc that I am going to be overhauling that needs a lot more work than this ski did. Video will be out soon!

Nice ski I have one the same but it’s a 94 model hasn’t skipped a beat in the 10 plus years I’ve owned it.

I should've kept them! This one was easy to work on and didn't need much. The other two I have on my channel were beat to crap. One of them was ran in the sand and the whole cooling system was clogged causing it to over heat. Had to take the engine out and replace all of the exhaust gaskets and clean all the passages. It ran great after that! I was amazed that they sat for our 10 years and still ran! I sold them in hopes to look for new skis to rebuild. I have a bass boat so I rebuild the skis and use them a couple times and then sell them.

Nice job. my only question is why is it setting so high on the trailer? going to be a major pain unloading and loading at that height.

Good question, didn’t even think of that but now looking at it I can see what you’re talking about. I might be able to adjust the bunks on the trailer , I’ll have to look further into it.
