Man this is some pro stuff... i used some wetsand paper in 600 to 1000 and then polished it up before new graphics. Ski looks mint after and not bad for a $500 acquisition. This was intense for sure :)

I have a 97 SPX that is mint and a 95 XP that has been restored and has race graphics on it. When I purchased 95 he had extra graphics kit. I was thinking about painting SPX yellow to look like 96 XP .My question is where do I find the exact paint??

My ski is just white on the upper half. I was gonna strip the decals off and do some gel coat restoration. I'm planning on wrapping the entire upper half, how far do I need to go into the resto? I don't wanna get it showroom perfect just to cover it with wrap.

Just wondering if you remove the rub rail when removing the oxidation and polishing the sides up? Why or why not?

If it very heavy I do, if not I take it off and buff around it. Full restorations I always do

They sell a 3m adhesive remover. Any type of adhesive remover from the big box store

Great video. I wouldve removed the mats before the graphics tho. The issue i have is my local stores dont carry all the products. Like the bottle will say "Follow up with product xx" and then no store has that product.

@@TodayWeWrench On several of mine i had the graphics below the mats so they were a pain to remove with the mats in the way, so i just made it my procedure to remove mats first. Have u tried the vinyl eraser wheel?

@@GCEXTREMEMN never had decals under mats, ever. Don’t like the wheel it’s a mess and takes more time than a heat gun.

Yes we will be posting a video on restoring the hood as well as the trim. In that video we will also give a tip on taping off the turf holes so you don't get the epoxy filler all over the hull.That video will be released after the engine rebuild video.

Heat gun will be your friend to restore the plastic on the hood.

@@oneeyedrone4293 heat gun ruins the OEM texture. Better ways are available and we have put it in our most recent video called bilge cleaning and hood restoration

I'd love to know if you have secrets for white. I have a 97 speedster and I've followed this 💯 and just can't get that same shine. It's super frustrating. I've had ok luck with the rupes corse foam pad and rupes corse compound. I'm wondering if I should wet sand and re try. Thoughts or suggestions on white?

Try using toilet bowl cleaner. It worked on my Malibu
