I agree. I no longer wish for a bright sided boat with the mineral content of the water in our river. Too hard to keep the varnish looking good when it is in constant spray contact. My hydroplane is going to be mostly painted with varnish areas where it counts and where it can be protected easily. Interior, coaming for sure, transom maybe? Thanks for being aboard!
