I searched Rock Island restoration, and top of the list. "BIG rock island vise! (130 pounds!)" ah yes that must be same as mine. Just bought a rusty 597, missing one jaw face. But only has a small deadzone in the vise nut. Red black and gray are my colors of choice. Boiled linseed oil makes a great anti-rust protective coat for the bare metal areas. Nice restoration vid, as well as your shop!

Great video two comments. Great music montage for the clean up but a little loud when you were speaking. Also the part when you milled the jaws and did the camera swoop thing, kind of felt nauseous. Great to see keep improving.
