If you have a doll that does that fabric softener and water will fix it but will ruin the curls if it has any. For curly hair try conditioner with coconut oil in it when you wash it. Then after you wash it use gentle hand soap that isn't scented to wash any excess conditioner out. Then when you are done you can put doll hair curlers in until it dries or let it dry without anything in the hair. Use a proper comb made for curly doll hair when doing this too... I do this curly hair method for my bigger dolls a lot. If you have trouble with the curls you can try a spray bottle with mostly water and a few drops of leave in conditioner made for curly hair to spray it. After you put the leave in conditioner you can reactivate it using just water alone whenever you need to..
