BELOW the elastics! The elastic is for control and measurement. Its hold the hair tighter so you can get a better cut and even out. The band is used to mark where youd like the hair to end. Once you cut you pull off the band and trim it out. Ive been doung hair since i was 11. Happy to drop tips if you reach out 😊😊 idk how to message past commenting❤
