They look much better with the patina. Back in the day we would leave them outside when new to get them to turn dark quicker. 😊

It certainly doesn’t look bad, I just prefer the look of it without! I’m sure it’ll eventually patina again with time

I don't understand why you'd take the oxidation off, it stops glare and in my opinion gives a softer feel

Was an inexpensive project I wanted to try out. Heating it in the oven gave it a really nice finish that has very little glare.

Hi really enjoyed watching your video, and I was wondering how did you pull the shaft out? Old ping putters have a steel ball inside the shaft, and it is very difficult to extract the shaft. Would you mind sharing the method? Thank you!

Thank you, appreciate you watching. So I feel like I was pretty lucky in the way that the shaft did have the steel ball in it, but I just heated up the hosel, twisted a few times and it came out without issue. So not exactly sure what cause it to come out so easy but I’ve heard cutting the shaft about 2 inches above and putting it in the freezer has worked
