Restoring My Grandpas Old Electric Motor

My grandfather had a motor like this mounted to his work bench to turn grinding wheels. It looked and sounds just like it. So cool to see it again 60 years later.

I did something similar to an old double shafted motor that came with a table saw that my Dad bought for my Grandfather back in the 1970s. That motor is now powering a 4 inch jointer in my shop.

You can repaint that tag. It'll come out good as new. You can use a pin, toothpick, etc. and dig out the letters if needed.

Could've painted the tag then use a piece of tape to lift the paint off of the lettering.

Just by chance came across your camper trailer build, very cool job, only question is how far did the 12 volt battery get you ? As in what was your range of travel?
