You don`t need to create potions, bombs, etc everytime. Once you created anything of that for the first time, then any alcohol in your bag will refresh it automatically after meditation. All you have to do - find new formulas, buy or collect ingridients, then craft just for one time. After you can forget about each formula. Just try to collect all of them (pretty easy during progression) and find suitable options for you. Oh yeah, you should also have at least 1-2 stacks of alcohol (not beer, wine and other drinks which can be used for food) in your alchemy section of bag in order to simply restore your items at any time.

It's funny: While, admittedly, you are missing some of things that i tend to think are obvious, you are a natural at the actual combat mechanics. Much, much better than I was at this point. It probably took me 2 playthroughs to get as good at the combat as you are right off the bat.

Sienna... i would suggest to keep handy on your belt the Swallow potion cause its better in replenishing health than food...and when you drink them all they replenish automatic after the Meditation. Also there is a perk you can take with an action point, where it extends the time that healing potions and food heal the body... its very good to have it. and last.... i think if you hold shift down when youre looking at a weapon or armor... it compares it with the one you have already equipped.... so its easier to decide which one is better. (if i remember correct)

So White Honey is for when you want to clear your current batch of decoctions/potions so you could use a different set. Oh yeah, as others have pointed out, you can upgrade abilities, but they won't be active unless they're equipped on the right side of the screen (you could just upgrade your active ones in the meantime). @@SiennaMaria I think it was, but you never used more than 3 potions so I don't think it ever became a factor for you. Later on in Witcher 3, you could have a build that increases your toxicity level, and even gives you bonuses for having high toxicity.

You can also use fast travelling - green flags on the map, where you already were (so normally you will not miss anything using them, because this area was explored). Once you reach one of them, you can choose any other to teleport there and spare a lot of time)

This is a rather verbose instructorial with some tricks and tips, so without being sure what is considered spoiler or not, reveal it at your own risk. Although there really are no spoilers, just gameplay suggestions. You can invest up to 3 points in most abilities to improve them, so don't overlook that. Be mindful though that abilities are not active unless slotted in the skill tree slots. Currently you have two active abilities. And because tree slots are unlocked as you level up, there is not much of a point to unlock too many abilities that you won't slot in. Picking some early ones and upgrading them to max is a good early strategy. Some merchants sell a potion which resets your skill points. It is rare and it is expensive, but it is a way for you to re-spec. Also, you have a unique potion named Wolven Hour which for a real time hour lowers gear requirements by two levels. Most useful early on. Once used, there will be no other like it anywhere in the game. Go back to each monster nest in White Orchard and loot it after blowing it up. A lot of the little side stories in the game are sort of like "subtext", meaning they are told in writing through notes, pamphlets, etc... and make reference to other quests, or to whatever is happening in the world. Reading may get boring, but patience with it feels greatly rewarding here. It is most useful to find or purchase alchemy formulae so you can craft new bombs, potions, etc... You only need to craft them ONCE, after that you'll be able to replenish them by meditating. Be careful however that meditation sometimes resets the state of the world, so if you meditate out in the wild you might wake up surrounded by enemies or they may even interrupt your meditation before it is over. Items will still be replenished though. When you hear buzzing around, there may be a bees hive nearby. You can use the hive to your advantage in a battle by agitating it with Aard. Bees are VERY powerful and their damage scales with your enemy level. What this means is bees damage a high level enemy as quick as a low level one. This is incredibly useful if you happen to pick a fight against an enemy or a group waaaaay above your level and a band of bees happen to be horsing around. Otherwise you can just use Igni to burn the nest and once it drops to the ground loot it for honeycombs. Here's a neat trick: whenever you approach the edge of the map, the game will warn you that you need to "turn back" and Geralt will comment something, however if you keep going towards the edge then the game will pull up the map and let you fast travel to any sign post already discovered. Normally you can only fast travel from one sign post to another (meaning you need to face a sign post and press a button to display the map, then choose the sign you want to go to), but if you are close to the edge with no sign post nearby, then you can use this trick as a shortcut. Using potions increases your toxicity level, and when toxicity is too high you won't be able to use more potions and your health begins to drop. White Honey clears the toxicity as well as canceling the empowering effects of the potions. Think of it as a "reset button" for some of your attributes. When doing away with your loot, you can either dismantle it or sell it (you can also drop it, but who does that?). Dismantling it costs some coin, but it gets you crafting or alchemy materials. You may not be able to dismantle everything though if your budget is limited. Selling it gets you just money, but the merchant's budget is also limited, so you may not be able to sell everything. So the game here is to juggle with both budgets budgets: sell some items to be able to dismantle more so then you can sell some more items to keep dismantling. I find this to be a neat "limited budget" system especially because it shows how the flow of money makes things happen. Quite the lesson in economy, innit? It is not enough to just buy items for Roach (saddlebags, etc). You need to go in your inventory and equip them. Roach can equip four types of items in total, which they all provide some advantages.

I don't think its the motion blur but just the speed of your sensitivity on you mouse. I mean play how you like for sure we will adjust to it! Few general tips- •loot anything you destroy (monster nests, beasts,etc). They drop rare and valuable loot , the prompt to loot takes a second to show up if you are in battle. •by default the game should switch to the right sword depending on what you fight. Theres an option for it in the settings. •Turn on the quick cast option in the settings, it makes it so that you don't have to bring up the signs wheel everytime you wanna cast something. •Dont focus too much on all the "?" . The fun side quests are generally what you get by reading the notice boards and by interacting with the "!" Icons on the maps. The "?" are pretty much the same bandit or similar monster killng stuff. The notice board side quests are unique and fun . •regarding the graphics, imo its smooth but lacks the sharpness when i watch your videos. Try watching a yt video on how to record , i remember some channels show the difference between different settings.

For a talent point to work, it has to be "inserted" into the tree that you unlock with each new level, otherwise it doesn't work. You dont need to explore. The game does a pretty good job to make you explore and some boards have side guests and some will turn out on map as yellow "!" so you would visit some places more times and those places could be already explored and without side guests.

Coming from Witcher 2 where there's little to do I did the same thing as you - went for every ? on the map so I wouldn't miss out but once you hit the main area you realize that it's impossible to explore every location and stay sane. Doing every side quest (except most treasure hunts) was an immense undertaking as is. Someone did the math and with DLCs there are 353 quests in the game (most are optional side quests)

I read an interview a few days ago with the lead designer at CDPR. The goal is to make Witcher 4 the most technologically advanced game ever to date. CDPR has even partnered with Epic Games for the purpose of exploiting the full potential of Unreal Engine 5. Sadly though, the game is also still a long way from finished. Basically standard casting is what the game had until the nextgen patch: to use the signs you needed to first select which one (either opening the sign menu and slowing down time or using the keys) and then activate. Why you want to clear toxicity? When toxicity goes over 50% (you can raise this threshold with abilities, though), you take damage over time. (The edges on screen become green and blurry.) The closer you are to 100%, the more damage you take. If your toxicity is so high that it plus a potion you are trying to drink would take you over 100% toxicity, you simply can't drink that potion.

Team Yen or Team Triss? 🤔I'm part of the only correct team: Team NEITHER! 😉 Keep in mind that you can put more than one ability point into most skills to improve them even further! Well, except of the amber skills, they are mostly utility skills anyway. So, just dumping points into skills you can't activate isn't really helpfull, lol. 😉 But don't worry, later you can buy a potion to rediustribute you points if you want to. 😉 You have two 'emergency' option if you carry too much stuff around, a decoction, and an amber skill. Both increase your weight limit, but I recommend NOT to use either of these all the time. If you end up with too much stuff, you can activate the skill or (later) use the decoction to not be forced to slowly walk around, but then go quickly to an armorer or black smith to sell your loot. After that I recommend to deactivate the skill or meditate (to get rid of the effect of the decoction), so you have the 'emergency' button ready when you need it next time. Over all, saddles and armor weigh the most, but even the runes and repair kits you find add up and can weigh a LOT. It helps toput these into the stash, except a handfull of repair kits (just in case). Last tips: Eating more food doesn't heal you more or faster, it just resets the healing timer, and you need to equip the saddle bags and the saddle, or they are just dead weight in your inventory! 😉

There is no point in learning new abilities if you can't put them in "Active abilities" slots. They virtually do nothing as if you never learned them. Instead, use your ability points to updrade already learned abilities that you want to be in your "Active abilities" slots or conserve them until new slots unlocked. Most abilities (except brown) could be upgraded up to level 3.

@@SiennaMaria Matching mutagen colors are not that important at this stage. You have like 5000 HP and Lesser Green mutagen gives you 50-200 HP (depending on how many green abilities you use). So it is 5000 vs 5200. Not a big difference, right? Lesser Red mutagen would give you 5-20% AP (Attack Power) that is better but still not that important at the beginning of the game, so it is much better to focus on abilities (that REALLY affect your playstile) than matching mutagen colors.

Agreed you should do your research on it. I know Keto/Carnivore is the best thing you can do for Arthritis. Sugar causes inflammation so a no sugar or carb diet even after just a week you will see significant improvement in pain and flexibility. It worked for me been ketovore for 2 years now.

With the motion blur I'm kinda the same, maybe I noticed it more in witcher 2 with your sensitivity but here it doesn't bother me, you're just too fast for the game I guess🧍🏻‍♂ Oh also, the food doesn't stack, if you eat something twice or more it only counts as one, you have to wait until the effect stops. That's why I prefer meditating, I don't like to waste my chicken sandwiches yk. And in case you still get them mixed, there's an option that makes Geralt draw his swords automatically, so if you need silver, he draws the silver one, I think you have that automatically once you start the game(? but just in case so you don't have to worry about that.
