But Andrew, did you ever get that garboard plank settled in or do we have to wait for the next episode?

Aw beans. Time lapse of it behaving itself starts at 7:20! Should have put a couple of extra subtitles in there to help. The video goes in this order: The first attempt was to clamp forward and twist into the piece just aft (it worked on the port side!), it blew out, then we cut a new board and quickly go through the steps for the second attempt, which was clamped at the scarf-that's when the steam generator pooped out a bit, and finally later that night after tinkering but before generator Mk. 2, we get it steamed in.

That looks like Frankensteins steam generator & definitely wouldn't win any beauty contests, but if it produces a good supply of steam its perfect. Great video. Take care & stay safe.

I'm probably a little late but just wanted to add my thoughts on mains water pressure, this can fluctuate quite a lot and makes a difference when you are trying to get a steady flow at low volume. It would be much more reliable to have a cistern higher than the boiler and gravity feed the boiler to make sure you have a constant flow at a constant pressure.

I like the drawing. It's better than one by Napoleon Dynamite!

she is going to be one fast fishing boat, great lines. very nice to see her coming together.I look forward to seeing her back in Cornish waters competing in the working boat regattas.

P.S. great boiler by the way. With a little development and down sizing you could fit the old girl with a steam donkey or two.
