One thing I would have liked to see the video touch on regarding the many Eggmans is that Big Eggman is a spiritual carryover from Fighting Vipers, in which the final boss was B.M., or Big Mahler, while an average character sized Mahler ended up being a secret hidden selectable character.

First thing I’d want if that ever happens. Is mods for the rest of the Choxtics. Heavy and Bomb as a duo fighter would be really cool. As well having more simple characters like Mighty as a Hybrid Knuckles/Sonic. It’s fitting, would roughly double the roster, they’re basically the only other classic character to add, and could add a lot of depth. That and having slots for the secret/unused characters would be really nice.

It's not fully delisted. It's being relegated to an expensive Sonic bundle. Which does suck for sure! It's unfortunate, but honestly the best way to play the game has been on PC for a while. I think I have a video idea I'm sitting on about Sega's approach to their back catalog in general, but I'm not sure yet how to handle it.

I remember a theory that Bigger Legman and regular Legman were the original intention for the Eggman fight in arcade mode (ala Fighting Vipers' final boss. and to a lesser extent games like Savage Reign). If he really is just Eggman's cutscene model then I guess that josses it. On a slightly related note, Legman is hilarious due to the inherent comedy of Eggman choosing to forgo his mechas in favor of just punching Sonic's lights out.

I’m very curious what the original idea for Rocket Metal Sonic was. My guess is that the original plan was to have Rocket Metal Sonic be the final boss instead of regular Metal Sonic, with the new version being a sort of draw, hence why he’s in the opening. My guess is that they were scrapped because they either figured regular Metal Sonic would make for a better boss (or just less clunky to animate in a fight), or having two Metal Sonics as part of the boss gauntlet would be redundant.

Big Eggman seems to be Eggman's canonical height, compared to the rest of the cast. Don't forget, we're dealing with a 3 ft. hedgehog, plus everyone else and Bark. The only downside is his hitbox detection. But I just can't see Eggman brawling against these guys outside of his mech suit, period. Perhaps, Eggman's other mech suit and Rocket Metal could be treated as alternate skins, like Super Sonic or Mirror Honey. Also, Track 25 should be Honey's ending theme. And maybe modders could actually create a Sunset Town for Honey to fight on.

If I were to speculate, Sonic Team has always been weird about allowing mirror matches, such as All Stars Racing barring two people from selecting the same character, so the two cut robots might have been part of their planned workaround before they got approval to use the black and white photocopy clones.

I have a bit of a wild theory about these secret characters: Mech-less Eggman might have been the original final boss of the game, with Robo-Egg maybe being a sub-boss But Sega took issue with Eggman not using a mech, so they turned Robo-Egg into Mech-Eggman to save on making a whole new fighter Perhaps it's true, Perhaps it's not, whatever the case, Robotonic is cool

I always wondered... When you reach the end of the normal Arcade and fight against Eggman in his Mecha, you see him come out of the door with the number "1" on it. But there are 3 other numbered doors that NEVER open. Was there supposed to be more to this mode originally? Maybe that's where unused Mecha-suit for Eggman comes into play, as well as Rocket Metal Sonic? I could imagine the final fight being supposed to be four different fights, with only the last one getting the countdown added. Would be amazing to see in the game some day. And maybe someone even discovers more about this in the files down the line, so that it CAN be properly added?

There's A Fangame Called Sonic The Fighters Blitz And There's Two Versions, One Is Called Sonic The Fighters Blitz Which Doesn't Make You Accidentally Speed Up The Game With No Way (That I'm Aware Of) To Turn Off Or Turn On A Hitbox Visual (You Just Have To Press Ctrl + C To Toggle It On And Off). Honey Gets Her Own Story And Characters Get More Dialog With Eachother In Hyper Edition. If You Find Out How To Turn Off Speed Up Mode, Please Let Me Know.

Aren't cut characters the ones INTENDED to be in the game and, you know, cut? And not the models inside of the game that don't have a gameplay purpose (like cutscene, Big or UFO eggman)? Honey can be considered a cut character that was restored (she was not meant to be playable, you could only play her with hacking tools) but the rest? It's a brute force mash-up of the assets, it reminds me of the various bugs on Smash Melee and how it's community says they're "fEaTuReS" or "mEcHaNiCs"
