Contrary to the notice on the lock balance beam saying to keep the gate open, which it was, you said closed. Also when putting the gate back to the open position you said "shall we shut it now?" Not good.

Thanks Knight2255, there was a moment at Ryford Double Lock, when I almost drowned my drone whilst trying to get a close shot of the lock gates. That said, I think the drone footage always adds that little bit extra.

This is amazing and it is what I have been looking for FOR SO LONG when it comes to the canal network. I wish there were many channels like this, and if there was I'd still appriaciate this channel, but as of now to have something like this is SO AMAZING and is appriciated!!! i hope one day not only are there many in-depth history videos for the canal but all the regions, cities, towns, villages, and industries along the canal and river systems that fed into each other.

Displaying a map(s) would have been good to show the route and what has navigationable water, others that have water but not navigationable, and then filled sections that don't have water.

Thanks Cliff. We are working right now on a section of our website www.idocanals.co.uk to show maps of Waterways Under Restoration. As a test example, we have the idocanals.co.uk/Thames-and-Severn-Canal . We intend to show 'navigable sections' in light blue and the parts under restoration in dark blue. It's a work in progress.
