This message is so powerful and amazing! Why is this never addressed in church!? Why is standing for your marriage and real issues in marriage never talked about in church?! The preachers preach to flee fornication and get married but standing for your marriage is not a message in church. It's almost like a taboo. That's so wrong. Thank you so much for doing this video. For 7yrs I have been living with a prodigal husband. Just last week God boldly told me to leave him so that he can deal with him without my interference because the situation was affecting my spiritual life,God has delivered me from the obsession of controlling him or trying to fix things. Immediately I made the decision to leave the peace of God just embraced in a way I couldn't have imagined. I am so happy, my sister even said to me "you have re-defined divorce for me. I have never seen someone going through separation looking so happy and positive" I have known for a long time that God wanted me to leave but I kept holding on it... When you are in the midst of it, sometimes all you can see is your own pain. It feels like you are in the middle of the storm and it's hard to determine what you are being hit with because it's coming from all angles. Perspective is like an anchor in the midst of that storm. I can't change the storm but I can feel secure and confident in knowing it will pass and I will not be lost in it. I still have to work on not responding from my pain but from truth. I am on the path to freedom and I've been given a promise for restoration. Until that day I'm working on loving unconditionally

My husband and i were doing great when he got out of prison in 2018. We remarried and being a kidney transplant recipient my function was that of a normal person. Everything was great. Then came the world, the temptation, a job other women money, friends. I was pushed to the side and he left me. Since then he’s returned and weve gotten back together 3 times. This last time he left me in April was the worst he completely broke my heart and I mean that literally. I may have possible, congestive heart failure, liver disease bc I have (extremely high levels of iron in my body)kidney failure yet again and was diagnosed with anxiety disorder. Please pray for me. I still want my my marriage restored.

Outstanding presentation. My wife left nearly a month ago and filed for divorce after 3 weeks. We have been married 35 years. I really hope she snaps out of this. OMG 😳😳. This is so true I'm a decade younger than my ex... married him in my 30s gave him 2 kids...by the time they were 2years we were separated. His mistress 20 years my senior had 7 kids of her own) tormented me publicly has now left him...now he's in another relationship with a woman that has 4 kids (not his) and she even has a special needs kid ( just like ours)...deeper and deeper just sticking to his own wayward trajectory. Literally almost lost my mind trying to make sense of it when he left. There was no sense to be made of double mindedness. Everything you said here I have seen . Almost 7 years later and I still have my moments...not understanding why I'm still alone with no father figure/ healthy marriage example for my kids. This is such a profound message and I wanted to ask , I have been married for almost 5 years now after two years my husband walked out saying he was no longer in love with me left me in a new city ; I had just started a new job and we just moved into a new house chosen by my husband and I couldn’t afford the rent . when I asked him when he was leaving what should I do about it ? he told me to figure it out and this was just before Christmas so I was all alone and completely broken.I still prayed fervently, I asked his family members what should I do ,they all told me I should walk away because he’s an alcoholic and this is what he’s always done . He’s never stayed in a relationship that long and they were surprised he even marred me . Earlier this year in Jan I got a message from one of our common friends that he wanted to speak with me because I changed my number and moved apartments, so I did ask her to give him my number and when he met me he was very apologetic and he said he did not know what he why he did what he did but he just wanted his wife back he went down on his knees and he cried . I was happy because This is what I’ve prayed for ,just a few hours into us talking his phone was going off and It was a girl calling him and he mentioned to me that he cheated on me while we were apart I didn’t want to think about it, we never got married in church, so he said let’s just get married in church and start a fresh . 48 hours later he said you like your ex’s pic on Instagram in 2017 so you have emotionally cheated me and I no longer trust you and he put up pictures of this new girl all over Instagram and said how blessed he was and it was during Valentines and he just had asked me prior to this convo let’s take our holiday during valentines because we’ve not had a holiday for so long . it broke me a little because I felt why come into my life now when you’ve already made up your mind and I had made my peace with it but I was always praying that God will touch his heart and breathe life into my marriage . Now a few months during the Covid he asked me that he wants to file for divorce because that’s the right step I didn’t say anything I gave him all the information he needed because I want God to intervene and I want god to fight for me. My husband is a malignant narcissist and he’s borderline psychopath but I don’t know what to do. he’s never he’s never treated me right he’s insulted me belittled me at every step but I’ve always said for better or for worse for better or for worse but I don’t I don’t want to fight anymore I don’t know if he’s happy with someone else but if he is so be it ! he’s always told me throughout our marriage that it’s always my faith that calms him down, it’s my faith that overwhelms him ! I normally would pray for the lord to bring him back to me but just this time it’s gone way too far so I don’t know what to do and I came across this message today so now I’m confused as I had decided to give up as the pain is immense. Like I said my husband is a malignant narcissist and a raging alcoholic . He has no empathy for anyone, his step daughter and I are close and she told me just walk away he doesn’t deserve u, so has everybody I know. Pls help

The best thing for the prodigal spouse to do is to repent to God and turn away from their sins and turn their heart back to their spouse and the covenant they made and to not save face as they want to. Because there can be no healing for either party if the one who goes outside the marriage doesn't humble themselves to God and to their spouse and ask for forgiveness and truly care to heal the hurt in their spouse. Until then neither spouse has peace no matter how many years time doesn't heal all wounds Jesus does when we bring it to him.

I've been standing for my prodigal spouse for two years now. I have given him and our marriage to God long ago and I set out to put God first in my life and let God be my husband(as the bible says) at this time. God has given me peace beyond understanding and has grown my compassion for my prodigal beyond what I thought was possible. I've learned not to condemn but to have compassion. Spot on. God has purged and cleansed me of things I didn’t even know where there. I’m so so thankful. I cried all day for about 6 months straight to the point I thought something was mentally wrong with me, God was cleansing me. I’m so glad these videos exist. I’m dealing with abandonment from my husband & our son is without his father. He’s been gone for over 8months with zero contact. He did say he was filing for a divorce in June telling me he was going to give me what I want. After I found out about this other woman he had just met. He’s not filed. My husband is a believer. He's still with the other woman. Living in a hoarders house with her mom & boyfriend, He's not a father to our son with very little interaction or involvement or interest shown to be. I'm reading the comments here...so many seem lost here and misquote or take out of context the Bible...seek the Lord while he may be found (isaiah 55:6-7) knock and the doors shall be opened ask and it shall be given (matthew 7:7)...all by His Grace and the Holy spirit...set your intentions on loving yourself more and not on the prodigal as they "may" never return (give them to God) seek God for whats next for you...read psalm 23 it helped me tremendously in my wilderness as I witnessed the lord cause me to lay down in green pastures and provided for me in abundance more than ever before...lastly my ex husband who I suspect to be a narcissist/bdp told me that biblically he could remarry but I could not and yes he is remarried and he has carried on as if me and our 3 sons never were. I am no longer bitter or angry I have simply accepted my "exodus" to God be the glory! I pray Gods peace for each and every hurting person on this feed...God Bless!

Thank you for this my husband and I went into marriage wanting God in the center but he started cheating and we went to marriage counseling through the church. The second time was an emotional affair he left me and our 3kids to be with her. He also didn't want to follow Christ anymore cause he didn't want to be held accountable for his actions. His heart is definitely cold I tried to always save him but since he left I've stayed out the way cause I know it is spiritual and I don't want to get in the way with what he is trying to do.
