Where did you find the percentages of the online vote?

Good question! Let me explain you how it was counted: The total number of points awarded by jury as well as by televote was 986. And Portugal got 117 of them. So let’s imagine there were 986.000 votes received and it means 117.000 were for Portugal. But every person was voting for three countries, so actually an amount of voters was not 986.000, but ~329.000. And 117.000 makes around 35.6% of these 329.000, which could be theoretically the highest amount one country could have had (if every voter chooses it). I hope this clarifies, where the percentages come from 😉

😉 but because of this the distribution of points is kinda unfair. It is really hard to get so many voters voting for you like Victoria Nicole did this year, but your amount of points is still not that significant. So the voters have not much impact in Junior Eurovision. With the current system I would say it is like 75% jury, 25% online voting

I don’t understand why people are making such a huge drama out of it. Just be proud of your country no matter what placement they have and be happy for the winner. They were all heroes, some just with a bit more stress than others.

Of course every kid would like to be remembered as the winner of the Junior Eurovision, but I think even being there is such an honor and an unforgettable experience!
