I feel this clean up so much. The house I'm in had older horders living in it, lovely people but man did they leave a lot to clean up. The yard has been so hard to get cleaned up.

its hard man, I am experimenting in methods and equipment, as a one man operation doing it with standard garden tools would be a full time job to get it to a base line and maintain it... and already have a full time job

Nice job Ryan, there is definitely a huge indent into the overgrowth. Unfortunately the only way to deal with the wisteria is to chop it down. You were 100% right when you said to cut the trunk of the wisteria and hit it with herbicide. 👍👍

it helped a little but yea man... we have our work cut out for us no pun intended

I use RM43 from tractor supply. I have the best results by applying herbicides & insecticides in the late afternoon or better yet in the early evening. This allows the treatments to penetrate the effected area slower without risk of midday sun & heat drying up or evaporating these expensive chemicals. Good luck taming that jungle.!! 🚜💨

I appreciate the tip, maybe i ll order some we are tractor supply deficient around here

You need to do another treatment with each over every spray on the whol place ,You have to get a few to really get into the main mother root system.

Please use ppe when dispersing defoliants. Atleast longsleeved shirt&gloves. those things are somewhat toxic.. Nice update on the yard situation!

fair point.. had the gloves but could have done better

Place I worked at when I was young replaced the water in the roundup recipe with diesel fuel, shit worked like a charm! You could literally watch the weeds die as you moved throughout the property. The reason I was given when I asked about it was that the oil/diesel made the spray both water resistant and well more deadly to all life 😂
@betweenthesharksgarage3 ай бұрын
that sounds pretty deadly, we may have to resort to desperate measures around here

Look at the active ingredients look for 2-4-D for broadleaf control and roundup (glyphosate) for total eradication also strong vinegar >20 salt solution works for knockdown adding dish detergent to the mix helps th herbicide to stick to the plants. Good luck

thats the second nod for vinegar... i might give ita whirl cant hurt

You should use a product called “Crossbow” you also need to add what they call a “Sticker” which helps the Crossbow not to be washed off. Also the slower the kill the better.

I applied alot of herbicide when I volunteered for a museum. I found that strong mixtures are not more effective and waste chemicals. Tryclophr is marketed as posion ivy and woody brush killer,it is more expensive than gylphosate and should be used on everything that isn't grass. Gylphosate is good for grass and pretty wesk on everything else. There are alternatives to gylphosate and they don't seem to work for beans.

Thanks for that info. I am new to this

Spray diesel on the leaves, not on the ground, it will clear enough to allow you to see what to chainsaw

landscaping must be a killer business in that area people probably give up and pay for someone else to do it
@betweenthesharksgarage5 ай бұрын
it is indeed. between the rapid growth, storms knocking down trees, i feel like a landscaper should have more work than they want and take the fall and winter and head to the tropics... i should consider a career change

@betweenthesharksgarage5 ай бұрын
not sure how it really works, but seems to have lot more to do with the amount of time people spend watching. at this moment its at 1800 views and its made about 5 bucks... there is potential to make money I suppose but you would need to be a far larger channel than i have to see anything significant. I like doing it, the channel is growing slowly... we will see what happens
