A sincere message for all the viewers Engin altan is not my favorite but the character Ertugrul is my favorite. Esra bilgic is not my favourite but the character halime sultan is my favourite. The purpose of this historical drama is to learn the true values of islam, their sacrifices for islam, their level of iman, the culture and the social behaviours but what our youth is getting is all about love story of halime sultan and ertugrul which is totally a fiction just to put an interesting end in the drama.. Please stop putting vulgar indian songs behind their video clips. Do show some respect for those people who were serving their lives for islam. Despite of looking at their physical beauty try to get the core messege that lies in the drama that is the true soul of drama and it is to learn the value of jihad and to not to compromise on teachings of islam. THe history was dramatized to know our bright past and then struggle again to get it back.

Well, it's not entirely fictional though... The father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire, was in fact, Ertugrul Gazi, and this show is mostly based on his life story with some fiction in between. Osman's mother was either Halime Sultan or some other woman, although Ottoman historians and legends from the 15th Century state that it was in fact Halime.
