You have devo up a lot. Skip redoubt and get imp devo talents. Then get weak auras to track stacks of reckoning. This way you have more armor and youre not announcing to anyone in the know, that youre reckoning build, whenever redoubt procs from a crit.. Ill link my string if you respond to this

Ok, we need to make an add on that tracks all enemies near us attack bar timers and off hand swings too. Then we will be highest skilled best PvP class in the game. I've had mild success at this without an add on and it's absolutely awesome with classic live reckoning mechanics.

Thinking if I should go Holy/Reck now at 54. Please powerful Mantisboi, tell me ... should I be a weakling healer with a stored reck bomb from time to time, just so my guild lets me heal in raids (Im the only paly who would spec BoSanct) and farm my ret gear that way, or go all in into Ret/Reck and be the one with the force? (my guild allows just one ret per raid, and there is a no-life type of guy who goes every time -.- )

Holy/reck is mad powerful, you still can use seal of righteousness with the reck procs and that stacks up lots of damage with every single hit of the reckbom/reck hit, with a slower 1h weapon each auto attack from it and the SoR hit would be decent. Especially if you could spec into it if you wanted a little more damage. Plus as a healer in pvp you get to use a shield so you have that extra armor on me and if you reckon with seal/judgement of wisdom or light when you need it. The stack up of regeneration is quick as shit

These are just highlights, don't even think he is doing this non stop. KZbin will have that affect on people. Let me compare this to football. I'm a Bill's fan, 99% of the time they suck, but if you watched only the highlights of the things we did well on, and posted it on KZbin you would think they are good. Ret Pallys suck. Only a handful of people play them the correct way, and it always revolves on reckoning. If you really wanted to be viable, you would understand being holy is the way to go. Ret is garbage and people like this have been trying to convince people they are good for 15 years now that they were viable in classic. Mages are good 100% of the time. You made the right choice. You said you played ret in TBC, do you remember raiding as ret? I don't. I played a pally in TBC as well. I was holy up until hyjal where I respecced prot and was the guilds off tank into sunwell. At no point did we ever have a ret pally in raid (for progression fights). The only reason why ret is somewhat viable now for raids and why they are even there, is because our skill levels have gone through the roof, so we are allowed to bring gimp ass classes/specs and let people enjoy what they play. Back in the day, we laughed at people who wanted to bring there silly ret pally. Nah, fuck that we bringing that mage bro. Ret pally is like the buffalo bills, don't be the buffalo bills lmao

I didn't intend to use devo aura so often but without sanc it turned out to be my go-to. I like redoubt tho just incase I happen to wanna so some cheeky aoeing and boosting. Plus it has the same proc as reckoning so it was a nice indicator

I'd say it's more viable when you have at least a healer or someone to take some of the attention off you, you still need to survive enough to get some hits in. I'm suuuuuper keen for bg's I think it's gonna be a game changer for the pvp, so much better.

to prestack reckoning before pvp you just do /sit and right as mobs swing is about to hit you start moving if redoubt procs you know you got reckoning stack also then just either kill mob with spells or evade the mob

Reckadin is technically hybrid. Not a ret paladin. Otherwise I can spec holy and reck and call it holy paladin. Which is it holy reck or ret reck? It's a hybrid paladin. People will say yeah.. but technically I'm ret when I'm ret reck. Then I'd say. Yeah.. but when you say you are holy you imply to people you are a healer. It's misleading. Therefore you are technically a hybrid reckadin. You may have ret or holy as your secondary talents but you aren't primarily Ret. To tell someone you are ret would allow everyone to tell people they are a holy paladin when they are reck specced which will piss off every raider who expects you to be deep specced in holy.

Depends on the content. Druid when played well is an extremely good 1v1 class. Ele/resto shamans are disgustingly effective in PvP. Holy paladins are by far the best supports in the game.
