Downes has a wonderful ear... and was probably blown away by the sound he got from these women. I have never heard ANY quartet sound a beautiful as these girls did. Each one has a stellar voice as soloists, but together it is sheer magic that has yet to to be -matched- approached. If they ever record together again I want to know. And David, YOU MUST DIRECT. That's a "high five" from Heaven!

Original oldie here. I thank you for what you did for the original Celtic Woman. I think the new Celtic Woman can't hold a candle to what you and the original Celtic Woman gave me, (us). They don't have the eye candy and the choreography you gave us. I couldn't imagine the original Celtic woman singing to a back drop screen. It's as if I'm there for just the music with the new Celtic Woman. No scenery. Just a fake backdrop. You gave us so much more. Choreography is everything, after the angelic voices. I know time leads to the next generation, but I think you and the original people could have gone for much longer. IE. You are all still doing what you do best to this day. This is time wasted for me. You could still be the original Celtic Woman now. Copyright law??? I wish you could have a regroup with the original Celtic Woman for me and your fans. I'm sure it would be a sell out and you could probably ask any amount for the tickets and sell them all with standing room. Take care. Don

Not your average, everyman composer, but especially gifted. When David Downes was at the helm of Celtic Woman, the outfit was the most eye-opening and most enjoyable of any. Theatrical punch and pizazz aside (what is great music without fireworks and tinsel!?), Celtic Woman and David's music stormed across the globe. A decade-plus on, we now have a Celtic Woman line-up that has no semblance or evocative leanings to the original group.
