The same people who complain about being “forced” to work would not be happy if no one was working at the gas stations or grocery stores if they need to go. Lines for gas are hours long and they may not have gas to give you when you get to the front of the line. My brother has been trying to fill his tank for 3 days. I can’t imagine how bad it would be if there were no employees. Some workers actually are essential. Some gas stations are giving incentives for people willing to work until the last minute, many encouraging those with families to leave early. Owners are working and sending employees home. They are doing the best they can in most cases. There are always idiots who think of nothing but money.
@fightingblindАй бұрын

Its really hard to leave in the mountains. Your family depends on that income and once you're labelled like that in a local area you potentially are cut off from that local area not just job wise but careerwise. A lot of people don't understand how difficult it is beyond the paycheck. It's what else is going on. How many people from Asheville who grew up in Asheville told a camera over the least week and a half and said they never envisioned Asheville to be flood danger... The valley for which Asheville sits WAS FORGED BY A RIVER. They can't imagine that the river that forged the valley exists... It just doesn't exist everyday because the river isnt showing the daily power of its monumental force. When you're surrounded by people who may want your land and they know where you work or worse? What I mean is you live on some land it's beautiful a message in the mountains isn't like a message in the big city. From how long it takes to get to work to what job openings you could ever work at jus cuz they don't like you for whatever reason. As for Florida and evac. We have traded our freedom for the coins and papers that promise to enable us to have freedom including the freedom of our own safety. Choices we make them everyday. I personally would've recorded the person and took it to an attorney then again finding an attorney who cares about laws? Health community vs big business for the area? Big boss? Bosses power can reach beyond their business operations.
