I'm so glad you remained relaxed and didn't jump on the natural hair bandwagon because many people did. Glad you chose to stick to what YOU like for YOUR hair! I'm currently starting my relaxed hair journey again and honestly wish I stuck to it when I was mid back length and didn't big chop to go natural :(
@holyexperience19765 жыл бұрын
I am 15 months post relaxed, but not planning on big chopping even if I proceed in no more relaxers. Even if I decide no more relaxers, I have no beef about anyone who decides to continue relaxing. For me, it is not about coming to hate relaxers, I once watched Kim Cash Tate, I forgot how I came across her, but she felt a spiritual conviction to no longer relax, so, I was thinking, just in case, no more relaxers for me, but Kim sent and chopped off. Myself, no plans for chop. But I will accept and support those who continue to relax if no more relaxers becomes permanent for me. My main thing now is learning to get smooth roots without a blow dryer, since my dominant shoulder is screwed up and it takes not much to put too much stress on it doing certain small things, so, I need to air dry my hair until I can afford to buy a soft bonnet dryer. I did find out earlier this month that Tresemmè flat iron spray is awesome for me to go with my one month old Red By Kiss Straightening Comb. I got to buy a new one, as it stopped working, or may try Asavea brand, since I saw if I use the right things, straightening combs are dynamite! Plus, Red By Kiss, I was able to use on my roots without feeling the burn. Would like to try Argan Oil spray see if that can help. But I gave up Argan Oil ( never used spray version before ) when 4 years ago I got diagnosed with eczema ( Keratosis Pilaris) and my scalp came to hate Argan Oil. But hearing of silk presses and the oil has me begging to try the spray version of the oil! But when I tried the non spray version, it was 5 years ago when I got a Conair Infiniti flat iron that had One'N'Only brand Argan Oil with it, and I love how it made my hair smooth. Works better than Paul Mitchell Super Skinny..... Bless the spirit of those who read this book! 😂😂😂😂😂

I'm natural, but your relaxed hair maintenance is on point! It's funny because your regimen shows that whether you're processed or natural, a lot of healthy hair habits are universal. I do many of the same things that you showed in your wash day routine and your approach is so sensible. I also love how you demonstrate braid/twistouts on relaxed hair. Our hair is so versatile when healthy and it saddens me when people think you have to be 100% kinky/coily/curly or 100% bone straight. Great channel and your hair is gorgeous!

Thank God I found you!!! I’ve been subscribed since last week Thursday and now I am confident about relaxing my hair in a healthy way. There’s been so much stigma put on relaxers that it’s become a taboo to relax ones hair, it’s become a battle between the “naturals” and the “relaxer girls” but it shouldn’t, relaxing your hair is a preference and a choice!!! People speak about chemicals yet they will wear makeup 💄 as if that doesn’t contain chemicals. What people don’t seem to get is that everything has chemicals, it just depends if those chemicals are toxic or not!!!

Thanks for this! Just subbed. Always useful to learn more about retaining length. Its the major key with growing hair . I as a High porosity stopped using heat dryer in my DC, just cap and body heat, cos I don't want to further heat-damage my already lifted cuticles. Also I now wonder if trimming is cos of SSK and DSK ? I now dust ' them off and stopped trimming. So enjoying longer lenght. But what causes split ends? And how do I know if I have them? You may still have a Point with trimming after all? . Thanks for this so useful! Lots packed in! Much appreciated!

I stopped her several times. She didn't listen. Now my hair is just touching my shoulders and I'm trying my best to get my hair length back. I'm seeing another hairdresser now so I hope my hair will start growing faster. Plus I noticed that vitamins help with growing your hair too..

Hi. I’ve been watching your videos over the last few weeks, and they have been very informative and helpful. Regarding wigs, is it necessary to wear them? I’m at the beginning stages of trying to grow my hair, and I was wondering whether this would be a good place to start. I’m glad that you mentioned that you wore wigs in the past as a way of retaining growth because I feel as though some people do leave that part out! I would prefer to retain my hair growth without wearing wigs but if that’s the way to go, I’ll do it. My hair is quite short and so putting my hair into a bun isn’t possible. Anyway, thanks for all the content you put out there!
@HairliciousInc6 жыл бұрын
Hi Cassandra! Yes, wigs played a role in my ability to retain length. It’s not necessary but very helpful. When my hair was too short to bun, I would just clip it up. If you are able to just clip your hair up, try that and see how you like it. If not, try wigs. It’s a great place to start and you will still be able to carry on with your regular hair routine. Thanks so much for watching.

I wore wigs my first 2yrs and my hair grew so much but then I wanted to wear my hair out so for the next 1yr I did....That wasn't a good😒 idea so even tho I'm not crazy about wigs I will invest into a couple of really good wigs to start growing again...Also Thanks for the extra tips😘

Thank you for these amazing tips! I am going to relax my virgin hair within a few days but i havent had a trim in at least 2 years , so i would like to know should i trim 'before the relaxer' or 'after the relaxer is applied ' ?. Thank you

I would say, after the relaxer is applied.

THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you!!! Honestly, the one tip that I must improve upon within my hair care routine is trimming. Because I always get those pesky fairy knots, it seems like I am forever dusting my ends. Tfs, Luv&Later...
