Retay GPS Fail

This Retay GPS failed within the first two shots, rendering the gun inoperable. That's a record and not a good one.

I just read your article about them on ChuckHawks - I noticed you mentioned in the beginning of it that they typically manufacture toy/replica guns. I learned my lesson the hard way to not purchase an actual firearm from toy gun manufacturers. I bought a Walther WMP a few months ago (made by Umarex NOT Walther), and it has been an absolute disaster. The only gun I have ever truly regretted buying and have had non stop issues with.

Mine failed in three. Two bird shot rounds followed by a slug that caused the action to no longer cycle and the release button jammed. I wanted a Maverick 88 and they were out of them. Should have waited.

I bought a Retay GPS from PSA on sale several months ago, and took it to my local indoor range a couple days later. I fired two shots of Remington #4 shot, and the magazine tube separated at the weld from the the barrel, and the action stuck open at about half-shuck. I was shocked when Retay wanted me to spend money to return their defective firearm to them for repair. Long story short, I did not pay, and will not ever buy one of their products ever again.

The Armsan, sold by Mossberg as the SA-20. The triggers are excessively heavy, but after a trigger job it is a solid autoloader.

What was your he solution to this issue? Mine did the he sam thing, lasted 3 rounds.

No solution. Retay did not bother to replace the gun.
