Duvvuri Subbarao is an Indian Economist, Central Banker and Civil Servant. He was the 22nd Governor of Reserve Bank of India, served under Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh.
He currently lives in Singapore and is a distinguished visiting faculty at National University of Singapore.
He received a M.Sc degree also in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Subbarao topped the Civil Services Examination in 1972 and was assigned the Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Prema good job but watch some phrases you use like chukkalu chupinchatam etc there are quite a few. Not just in this interview but observed in others as well. You should polish and look for more sophisticated conversation.

Thanks I Dream....for bringing this Interview. Subbarao Garu......you are always inspiration to me from the day I know you chaired RBI office. You were very positive and down to earth at all times. @Prema, I appreciate you for bringing this Interview but I felt more of the questions like political interview and Questions asked to Counselor. I felt you haven't read the book before this Interview and asked questions from Karan Thapar interview. You should have asked more questions which apts for his roles and general understanding of financial things to people. Like Why can't one print more money and pump into system, What are key factors they see to control rates, Ask questions more specific to initiatives he has taken and challenges he took up in financial area.
