If hands to the face existed back at this time it would be a 50 point match.

Dominant wrestling. But the hands to the face though ref. Gave them both verbals, zain kept it up

It wasn't called two years ago like it has been now. To be honest, it's gotten ridiculous now that tight matches can hinge on hands to the face.
@chamboyette8536 жыл бұрын
The match wasn't fair. Jordan should have won because he can bench press more. The only reason Zain won is because he trained a lot more. He should have trained less in order to make the match fair. Then Jordan would have won. So that means Jordan kicked his ass.

An entire match of bellying out for jordan. Why, to prevent team points?

Because he’s looking for the pin fall every time, and because it’s personal with Ohio State.

7:45 why did zain do that
@christopherroth72393 жыл бұрын
To show the ref that Jordan was just holding his arm and stalling. The bottom wrestler needs to be working for an escape or reversal. If they are not they can be called for stalling, as Jordan was a few times.
@xenonmaster66682 жыл бұрын
@@christopherroth7239 I didn’t know that! Ik how stalling and wrestling works etc etc but thanks. I actually didn’t know that!
@Aesir473 жыл бұрын
I love Penn state wrestling. But it any match against a higher ranked opponent the refs are bias. Zain should have been called for hands to the face at least 5 or 6 times. I never understood that if you can win without it, which he obviously could.

2019 rules Jordan wins 15-0 just by hands to the face alone :) Good Lord no wonder they call the new rule the "Zain rule" :)

Chasing Donnie Baseball Retherford would’ve found away to beat him without hands to the face.
@andrewb78693 жыл бұрын
Lol... as if that’s the reason he won. Amazing mental gymnastics to ignore his pace, his takedowns, his creativity on top, and his relentless aggression. He was dar and away a better collegiate wrestler, despite Jordan’s immense talent.
@zaynes50942 жыл бұрын
@@andrewb7869 He really loves the armbar. Me myself I was always (for the two seasons I did wrestle) I managed to love 2-on-1s with an ankle pick. Worked 8 times out of 10. That or Russian with attacking front foot to back foot.

He's a beast and all but cmon we all know deep down leg riding is kinda cheap. It's like ehh I wanna see some David Taylor riding you k? Zane is a tank but I have a distaste for leg riding

@phattygoodness73476 жыл бұрын
No way!! Leg riding may be boring if the person riding is only looking burn up the clock or gain riding time, but Retherford doesn't really ride legs... he's always looking to turk and turn. He's always looking to score points or finish matches. His technique on top is second to none. He turns everyone. He turns the best and strongest wrestlers with, what appears to be, little effort.
@jt5195 жыл бұрын
His leg riding is probably the best in NCAA History with all the bonus points he had. Jordan was just getting handled.

@paulbachman78227 жыл бұрын
Nate Sayles Don't feed the Troll. Ohio State's problem is they are weak compared to Penn State. Rut is just to much for any of the Ohio Wrestlers. Pennsylvania produces better wrestlers than Ohio.
@shedd457 жыл бұрын
Always punching the wrestlers in the face.
@paulbachman78227 жыл бұрын
shedd45 No face punching. Just tech falls or pins. Jordan needs to Man up and wrestle instead of running and flopping like a fish. Sorenson attack him and took him to overtime. Jordan beat Sorenson. Jordan can wrestle with Rut. Right now Jordan is a head case.
