I like iteration for water in ponds rivers and lakes and like the cool lighting of rethinking voxels for forest exploration and like iteration for the warm lighting in snow biomes and how dark it gets in them, but it would be better with the aura borealis as well. Rethinking voxels is much better with fog in forests and in warm biomes with displaying train in the distance. And overall rethinking voxels seems more developed with very niche lighting and shadow mechanics for blocks also caves look cooler in it.

If Iteration T wouldn't just steal their code from other shaders it would be a good shader.

what version and settings of RETHINKING VOXELS? I just have problems with shadows when I move away, I have a RTX 3060ti ;3

Unfortunately voxel shaders just fail hard when trying to simulate night darkness. I use Solas but same issue: ambient night lighting is far too bright.

It's almost unfair to "compare" these two lol Not the same light behavior, not coded for same light colour, and iteration is stolen code that wasn't quite finished in the first place lol...

i feel RV is better because it looks more vanilla, Iteration has this weird looking orange filter.
