@@iwanttobemonke1408 The removal of Paul Dini from the writing team brought down the quality of the story by A LOT. This man wrote Asylum and City and wasn’t even asked to come back for Knight, and you can tell the narrative suffered from it with how out of character a lot of people act in the game, among other things. The combat feels significantly worse than City and Origins, it doesn’t feel like Batman is punching and kicking real people anymore, every knockout punch has a cartoonish crunch sound whereas in Asylum, City and Origins you actually felt the impacts of your blows because of the superior sound design, and no I won’t accept “but he’s batman he’s strong as hell of course it’s supposed to feel weightless” because that’s just a huge cope. And I haven’t even gotten to the enemy archetypes. Knight regresses in this department; instead of improving on Origins’ innovative Martial Artists enemies, they decide to double down on the horrible Brute enemy archetype that plagues gaming to this day. Yes they added the medics but those are kind’ve just a nuisance during combat, they’re really easy to take out but also really buggy because Batman will lock on to enemies they electrify automatically and ruin your combo, they are more of a Stealth enemy archetype than anything. And don’t get me started on the Bat-Tank. We asked for a driveable Batmobile, not a Bat-Tank. There isn’t enough time nor care for me to dive deep into why the Batmobile was terribly executed. It’s pretty self explanatory. Another issue is that this is the final game in the series and none of the playable side characters saw any real innovation, they all still have the same barebones arsenal of gadgets and their movesets are identical to their previous appearances, except with worse costume design and voice acting, and you can’t even freeroam with them. On the story side, Scarecrow being the final big bad felt unearned and was not set up properly, it should have been Hush instead, there was a clear opportunity there to adapt Hush and Under The Red Hood together in the same game because of how interlinked those two arcs are in the comics, not to mention that a serial killer running around with a vendetta against Bruce Wayne and the Batfamily isn’t something to take lightly. He’s a serious threat in the comics but the games brush him off as a big nothingburger after spending so much time setting him up in City

His entire existence is dedicated to this promise of protecting Gotham, having to sacrifice his humanity to become a monster to those who are monsters, themselves. The fact that he doesn’t go out in a blaze of glory, but dies unceremoniously at the end of the game only reinforces the notion of there being no reward. He doesn’t need to die an honorable death. He dies when Gotham needs him to, not a second later or before, and that is so profound and admired to me.

TL;DR A tribute to Mr. Conroy in my weird little way When The Batman came out, I started a new save. When Mr. Conroy passed, I went out on a mission to finally get the last 9 Riddler trophies for the true Knightfall Protocol. I got the trophies quickly but I still to this day cannot go through with it. I know what happens, I know I must. But i just can’t. I didn’t activate the KFP and continued to NG+ instead. Maybe I’ll do it afterwards but it tears me up inside thinking about saying goodbye to someone who was the closest thing I had to a father figure. Mr. Conroy raised me by voicing Batman without knowing it and know he did the same for others. Thank you Mr. Conroy for filling my childhood with great memories and for being the embodiment and voice to The Dark Knight to me and others. May you Rest in Power and Peace. Gotham will forever be under your protection for all you’ve done.

As if the Knightfall Protocol wasn't a sad enough ending for one of the all time best versions of Batman, the new Rocksteady had to go and shit all over the legacy left behind by old Rocksteady and the Arkham series with what they did to Batman and his character in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Arkham Batman and Kevin Conroy deserved better, and so did we. The ending of Arkham Knight was so much better, with Batman still out there somewhere, still helping people but in a new way by utilizing the fear toxin to elevate the Batman legend. Having him go completely crazy under Brainiac's control was one thing, but killing him off was just too far. He always deserved a similar fate to The Dark Knight trilogy Batman imo; saving Gotham one last time, and then walking off into the sunset where he can finally relax and be at peace and be happy for once. I've heard that Suicide Squad isn't the last game planned for the Arkham universe, but at this point... I hope that's not true. The new writers at Rocksteady aren't worthy of continuing this universe's story, and they proved that with how they mishandled Suicide Squad and what they did to Batman. He deserved better. Kevin Conroy deserved better. We deserved better. They really fumbled this hard, and I simply refuse to accept Suicide Squad or anything that might come after as being canon to the Batman Arkham games; I'll accept them as being an alternate timeline in the Arkham universe or an adjacent universe at best, but no way will I ever accept them as part of the main canon.

If it makes you feel any better, according to the leaks it will be revealed that none of the Justice League are dead (except Wonder Woman) because of genetic modifications from Brainiac (which is foreshadowed by the Flash's finger growing back after it was cut off.) This is meant to happen within season 2 or 3 of the game. They all basically fully recover from their "deaths" and brainwashing and assist the squad in defeating all the other Brainiacs from the different multiverses in future seasons. The whole reason why Batman was able to be defeated by the squad was because he knew about the modifications and how the league could survive and literally nerfed himself by his own will, like how he was able to resist scarecrows fear toxin in Arkham Knight. If all of this was in the base game and not part of a live service the story might actually have been better received because people would know right away that Batman didn't actually die and his defeat was basically his own decision. Biggest caveat is that with the way the game is doing financially and with its already plummeting player count there's a good chance they won't even get to do those Seasons where these major plot events are supposed to happen that would literally fix most of the problems with the story and the game will just be abandoned.

Still my favorite Batman game one of my favorites of all time. I really grew to love the bat tank the more i played. Predator mode was so fun in this game. This did evening the third game was supposed to do. Playing it in 3D Vision is a treat unlike any other. You really see how well the graphics hold up

Batman has been my hero for years and everytime i forget about him, something comes up to remind why he remains so. This clip was perfect for me to see. I'm so tired from trying to do the right thing in life. But this reminded me that Batman fought endlessly, lonely, and without appreciation against an unending evil. "You dont have to complete the work, but you cannot stop doing it"

The way I did it I got 240% because I needed to do it atleast once and I finished the game by doing penguins missions second to last so I can say goodbye to nightwing- then I unmasked- then I immediately activated knightfall it felt like a great way to end it especially when you activate it with the gold bat symbol
