This song and MV is just art plain and simple. His clothes, the choreo, the sublime piano score. It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it, and I've listened to it a lot. Between Taemin and OnlyOneOf my poor heart has just been smooshed with emotions the last few weeks.

I have zero knowledge of music or how anything works, I just felt like the song had this frantic anxious energy the whole way through. Like the piano was intense, and kind of faded in and out but was pretty much there the whole way through the track, and it all made me feel like I was being driven through the song, or pushed, and it never let up, and then at the end I was like okay I can breathe now. 😂 But I completely loved it. Another absolute gem from Taemin, and what a send off. See you after your military service. 😢

TAEMIN represents what cannot be precisely defined in the approach to gender and role play in the MV music video, and the choreography is so multidimensional and unpredictable that it is difficult to classify it into a specific genre. It took me a few listens to really get into the song but now I'm obsessed. And that look Taemin is serving - showstopping. Choreo - perfect. He really did it again, delivering banger after banger. The last scene though with the car and the smoke and the way he's standing in front of it gives me such an uneasy feeling though. What an artist!

Mahalo, Thina - you never disappoint with your in-depth review of an artist's work! I hope you'll get a chance to listen to Taemin's mini-album in its entirety - what a gift! I have my favorites but won't spoil it for you if you haven't gotten to it yet. People say they'll miss him when he's serving his enlistment but I believe he'll be resourceful and find a way to communicate with his fans. I heard he applied to and has been accepted with the military band so he'll definitely be involved with music. BTW hope you're doing well, stay healthy!

Is this secretly refering to lady Diana's tragedy, is this the concept ? Like a warning, bad gossip having bad consequences, the toxicity of it etc... I mean he's a "prince" of kpop, he talks about drama and gossip, the car in the tunnel, the crash leading to death, the angel pose at the end, the constant white and black opposition symbolizing the controverse... Bts doesn’t get a pass, they will also serve. But yes I agree that Taemin’s talent is immense, and I am sure he is also proud to serve his country in every way he does.

I think they would be angry if he DIDN’T go. I think any idol being exempt simply for being an idol would cause problems for them in the long run for their careers because the idea of every man going into the military is so engrained in Korean culture and society. It may be perceived as unfair if they don’t enlist, and may hurt public opinion of them. I mean, just look at Yoo Seung-jun.

You are wrong BTS has delayed their enlístment…that’s it…Taemin could have enlisted next year, but they decided that it was now because it is estímated that the covid will end at the end of 2022. Taemin will be discharged in November 2022.

It's just a delay at this point, but truly it's dumb. It's covid, no one can tour anyway. All the established idols should have left by last summer. This is the only time down time will ever be easy.
