I am a Thai person, Was born and raised here. The funny thing is I am a FC of this channel even though I am not a foreigner or a tourist. The reason is that this person has really embraced Thai culture.and it is always amazing to see my own culture through foreigners’ perspective especially ones who are open- minded and eager to learn different things. As a Thai person, his Thai is quite good.

@@sun_s9067 have any recommendations on things to do while I’m there?
@sun_s90672 жыл бұрын
@@williswilson2713 Hi Will, i’m Thai, live in Canada but went home every year so I might not be very up to date about attractions in Thailand. Iit’s funny that as a Thai I learned more about popular or new attractions in Thailand more from YT and IG. I say depends on what you like. Bangkok is great even for people who dont like partying. There are famous temples (Grand Palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Wat Benjamabophit, Golden Mountain temple to name a few) that you could visit if you like architcture and intricate work, street foods, great restaurants and cafes, night market, floating market, Chinatown, Muay Thai fight at Rajadamnern stadium, Chaopaya River dinner cruise (i love this), Chatujak weekend market, modern shopping malls (famous ones are npin Siam Square area) and the newest one Icon Siam on another side of the river on the Bank of Chopraya River. Outside BKK, the north (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Sorn) is mountaineous and the east and the south with nice beaches and mountains on both east and west sides of the peninsula and around the Gulf of Thailand. The nearest beaches to BKK are Pattaya to the east and Hua Hin to the south. However, the ones with clear water and more scenic views are in Phuket, Krabi and Phang Nga in the Andaman Sea; Samui, Koh Phagnan, Koh Tao and Ang Thong National Marine Park in the south’s east coast off Surant Thani province; Koh Chang, Koh Good and other smaller islands around that area in Trat province in the East near Cambodia border. Btw, Koh in Thai means Island. I just went to the south last Dec and was fascinated with the landscape and emerald green/turquois colour water in Phi Phi National Park - highly recommended. Phuket itself is nice with many beaches and so many activities to do around the island itself and nearby provinces of Phang Nga (recommend Samet Nangshe viewpoint and Phang Nga Bay) and Krabi (almost verywhere in Krabi is facinating because of limestome cliff, forest and seas). I like Phuket Old Town - small but cool with Chino Protugese style architcture and lots of foods and mixed culture of Thai, Chinese and Malay. You can watch airplanes about to touch down closely at Mai Khao beach (very cool). However, i heard that the costs in the south is much higher than the North. My brother said Phuket is the most expensive place in Thailand but he kept going back for long weekend vacations there every year. Each island and beach in the south have their own charactristic and vibe so you have to search for the one that suit your style, like for me Pathong in Phuket is not my type. About 2-3 hours north of Phuket in Surat Thani province, there’s this Khao Sok national park that should not be missed. I’ve never been there but its on bucket list for sure. All the videos I have seen about this place is 👍🏻 I dont remember much about the north but the three provinces i mentioned above are popular among tourists, again with different characteristics and attractions. Oh, there’s also Kanchanaburi (the Bridge on the River Kwai) with abundant nature, floating hotels, WW II memorial and gorgeous 7 level Erawan waterfall. Ayudhaya and Sukhothai, which were the capital cities before BKK. Thats all I can think of for now. Northeastern Thailand (Isaan) also has many intersting places but they are off the beaten path for tourist and for me 🤣 Anyway, have agreat trip to Thailand. Hope you enjoy Thailand to the max!

Hey Chris, thanks for the great videos. I'm hoping to visit Thailand soon and see some of the places you highlight. I know wearing masks is not fun but it's probably something that helps Thailand stay open and keep people safe. Maybe back off the negative comments about them. It's a small price to pay for keeping you and others safe.

Safety is an illusion.. there's no such thing as being safe. "Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing." Helen keller

Daniel Ing....U R IGNORant. Cloth masks AKA face diapers do NOT work. The CHINESE virus particles R smaller than the holes in a cloth face diaper. The only effective mask is a surgical N95 mask IF you don't fiddle with it. THAT is what the SCIENCE says. BTW....breathing carbon dioxide is NOT healthy. Humans were designed to breathe AIR.
