When ever the the gain/sacrfice of partner is equal to 0 it won't be recorded in entry for remaining to retiring partner , however when the gain of a prtner is in negative , the side will change i.e gaining to sacrifice therefre remaining to retiring partner

But in solution, Provident fund account is debited with rs 400 to revolution account, which ultimately distributed among partners in capital account.
