In illustration 6 pg no. 179.. Goodwill in books is rs. 12000 Goodwill given in adjustment is rs. 16500 The difference between them is distributed among the three partners While in this Question the difference between them was not distributed! Why so?

Very nice Questions In Books Illustration : 6 Profit ( 16,500 - 12,000 ) = 4500 That's why Distributions in Partners & Practice Problems : 3 Loss in Goodwill That's why not Distribution in Partners Profit distribution & loss not Distribution I hop you now understand

@@hemalsir I think It should be shown in either Revaluation AC or Partner's Capital We Should no give 2 effects in case of Profit/Loss in Goodwill If it is written in Revaluation AC then we should not write it in Partner Capital If it is written in Partner Capital then we should not write it in Revaluation Am I right Sir?

For all the people jinke books mein 2014-15: 14500 diya hein.. Go with the same amt. and you will get: 61000/5= 12200 12200×3= 36600 Therefore, we will have to increase 6600 in goodwill. Then the entry will be: Goodwill a/c-----Dr: 6600 To Anu/ Renu/ Dinu: 2640/2640/1320 **The tally is coming the same!!*"

If P&L Adj.a/c credit is more than debit side than's why it is profit .Similarly ,if debit side of P&L adj.a/c is more than credit side in this case loss are affected .So, they are distributed among profit sharing ratio....I hope you have understood 😊
