Great channel. I'm 60, planning on 'retiring' at 65. Planning on a settling into a tinkering lifestyle with occasional domestic traveling. I might work part-time to keep busy. All the best in retirement and with your channel.

Thank you so much for the kind words. We are now limiting most of our travel to North America but still might take a cruise here and there. Mostly travel by car now as we have 2 rescue dogs. (I'm totally fine with that) Retirement transition will come and you will settle into a routine, whether its to work or whatever. For some the transition is quick and other not so much!

We already have our goals laid out of what we plan to do. We are building in travel during our go go years. We plan to focus heavily on our fitness and nutrition, which doesn’t cost a lot. Great advice!

Congrats on the big video Scott. I have planned for quite a bit of US travel when I retire and some Caribbean type trips. I did not plan to be a snow bird but I want to do that now. Looking at condos. Can’t afford it yet but I think I will be able to do it a few years after I retire. Think I over saved a little.

You don't have to own 2 homes. You can rent for 3 to 6 months too. Just food for thought.

Retired at 62, wife at 66, It is seven years later in 2024 as I write this. We purchased a second home in 2007, both in Michigan. One thing that I needed to do before retiring was pay off both mortgages, vehicles and get high cost needed renovations completed at both residences.

I am using the Comica Vimo C3. It's a little more affordable and does the job. I tested it out and be 100 yards from the camera as long as nothing is blocking (line of sight) you. More distance than I'll ever need.

@myretiredlife13 I love that! ❤️ I retired last year, at 55, after a layoff, just as my in-laws' health started to decline. I started a blog as a creative outlet from the stress of caregiving. Started my KZbin channel last month after my blog subscribers started requesting videos. I'm out of my comfort zone, but I love helping people. And learning new things staves off dementia. 😉

@@AgingOnYourTerms Soon it will be a comfort zone for you. Helping people is one of my life goals. Has always been though. I coached kids sports when I was younger. Still hold doors open for people (young and old) Chivalry is alive and well with me. Good luck with your channel.
