Greetings from N California. I am sending you an email about my plans to visit Costa Rica with my son in December, his 4th visit. We will likely be moving there next Spring. I appreciate that you have sound advice to help the transition abroad we have planned for months. Blessings from Joanie 🐻 at Lake Tahoe

Excellent video! Thank you. Nearing retirement (Respiratory Therapist X43 years) and am really considering Costa Rica! You brought up a lot of great points. I worked in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years and definitely saw the ugly American thing in the countries I travelled to. Funny thing....I came back in 1989 and all of this time have just not felt at home in the US after my return. Nothing against it at all, but I have really struggled to really want to be here. Have you ever ran into that with any of your clients?
@yourpuravida3 ай бұрын
Absolutely have heard that from clients, and I (Patrick writing here) experienced the same for years after I moved back from Europe. We’d love to help you explore Costa Rica!

What town, city would you recommend in the central valley that is walkable and car isn't needed?
@yourpuravida5 ай бұрын
Hi Brandon - we are always reluctant to make a blanket statement on this. So many factors that help inform this (your needs, your style, etc.). Feel free to reach out and set time to connect if we can be of assistance!

idk if you will see this, but I'm wondering if you could talk about the big increase in murders in the country due to gang activity. The US has a travel advisory to CR right now. If you see this, could you comment? We are very seriously considering a move to CR.
@yourpuravidaАй бұрын
We have spoken about this in numerous videos. The reality is: yes, there is an increase in gang activity. But truthfully in most of the country you do not hear of this activity happening locally. Like many countries across the world - including the US - violence patterns change. I do not know many Ticos or expats that feel the weight of crime. I am not saying this to diminish the issue, but to say that like any country, there are places this may be experienced more than others. Overall Costa Rica is still a very safe country. (in my opinion)
