I used to live here as a kid and was born in Bartow. I am debating on moving back once I have things payed off where I am at now. The only thing that I remember hating was bugs and now it's the high humidity which is pretty much existent no matter where you live. I prefer the colder environment of NY however I am certain when I get older I will probably be more thankful for the warmer climate.

I hope they consider raising the homestead exemption... 50k used to be good when homes only cost 100k... 20 years ago but now most homes are 300+ 400+

Yes that’s probably another reason many people aren’t selling if they’ve owned their home for a long period of time
