It's been my experience that a lot of people are afraid of becoming irrelevant in retirement. At work they have status, it's important to them to follow the regiment of a schedule, they have structure to their day which they're afraid of losing if they retire. They think without the structure, they will just waste away in a sea of oblivion, that's sad, isn't it? Although our careers are important to us, our lives are ultimately more important and gems like Carol have it figured out.

Thanks for inviting me to join you today, Josh! I can talk gardening anytime, with a little retirement spin. It was fun and I'm happy you gave me the opportunity to share my positive retirement story. Folks, you can retire with some saving, planning, and courage, before 65!

Peach trees grow around Mt. Hood, Oregon...along with many other fruits such as berries and cherries and apples...!

Finally got to watch this in its entirety - my favorite video of the 2020. Carol definitely embodied Vicki Robin's mantra. She needs to come back on and have more gardening stuff next time!

I enjoyed the video. It was nice for a video to a have a positive spin. I wonder how well it will do as it is not gloom and doom, you can never retire and death and destruction?

Why do people stay at crappy jobs? The fallacy of not having enough but more important, many people lack the confidence in their vision to make the jump so they stay. This is jobs, relationships, neighborhoods, etc. Fear of failure as well. I failed my entire life and continue to, but I do not fret over not going for it. :)

You spent a lot of time talking about health insurance and it made me think about my situation. I am a veteran who served in the 70's so I get my health care paid for at the VA. Will there be any reason that I should sign up for and pay for Medicare when I turn 65?

I hate to point out the obvoius:CO2 is something that gardening and farming cannot live without. We wouldn't have rain forest and forests either.
@HeritageWealthPlanning3 жыл бұрын
Why do you hate the environment???🤣
@MrNoBSgiven3 жыл бұрын
@@HeritageWealthPlanning Probably because I am and old meen geezer... the attitudes change with age. 😂😂😂 As with money, environment has no value after death, but when we are alive, we should enjoy it. Did you know that we had shortage of CO2 to make pop sodas? One would think that we would have too much of this 'evil' gas nowadays.

A President wanting someone with a mortgage versus idelalogues means they want the backing of the common man. We commoners have mortgages. It doesn't have anything to do with controlling people.
