Love the video and your content! One tip - the music in the beginning is mixed so loud that it competes with your voice - it would be easier to listen to if you mixed the music a bit lower so that your voice always punches through the mix.

The biggest downsiwde with fishing even after upgrades is your boats have a long way to and from the port.

Kind of depends what the map is and how far away the fish is 🤔 If You make it to mythic age, You've likely got some spare wood anyway, so it becomes realistic to build 3-5 docks, one for each pack of 3 fish! To reduce travel time

Ahh, I should have talked about this maybe, but you dont have to look at animations anymore! It's all based on seconds working or whatever, not animations like in legacy. Great change!

In AoE2, the 3rd farming upgrade takes forever to pay off for itself. Many don't even research it. Would be cool to see some estimate how long it takes in AoW for the statistically average game.

Yes, and unique minor god techs! To be honest with you, I did this mainly to learn editing both in the Retold editor as well as Adobe..! A lot of people seem to like the video, so next time I do it I will do it properly!

I never knew that fishing can be very profitable in the later age, and kinda over-powered. My gripe of the early food gathering in Age of Mythology is the lack of early berry bushes, which then, I must hunt for food. Now I'm curious if you can compare the gather rate of food from Farm versus Fishing, It'll be useful for players that wants to play in all Land map or watery map. Also, the sound of your speech is a little bit low than the background music, but other than that, great video.

Can you do a tierlist on myth units / human units? I feel the balance is quite a bit off right now: Such as the counter triangle beeing to pronounced, Hypaspists beeing OP, Jarls/Fanatics beeing 3 pop, expensive and kinda lackluster.

Hey just suscribed ty for video man! I was also curious, about the husbandry tech, because it details a 3rd bonus, saying "villagers carry 10 more food". Does this 3rd bonus apply to all kinds of food, or just herdables and chicken? (will check the tierlist next too)

Yeah, it affects all types of food income! So if you're farming you really need this technology since you reduce walking time significantly

BEST question yet. I didn't go into detail about it, but these numbers are for greeks. Norse gatherers have 95% efficiency compared to greeks (because they get dwarves which are better at mining gold instead) Egyptians are 90% efficient because they have a lot of cheap buildings and also the pharao to help them out with getting resources. Atlanteans have 150% efficiency because their vills take +10 seconds to train

I have been finding that herdables take too long to fatten up and many times when they are fat enough I am already with a farming setup and kinda forget to stop and do the herdables

Wonder how ra farming works out. In theory it would be 3x the upgraded rate, but these scale multiplicatively, so we'd be looking at a slightly different number.

are farms the fastest on land including god technologies? like skadi increases farming rate by 20% ontop of farm upgrades thats 1.2%% i suck at other gods but maybe they also have increases? youve got a new sub love the advice, water op, i cant play water maps i hate the hassle with microing boats xD

hmmmm, so with Skadi upgrade and all 3 farm upgrades, you end up with 1.05 food/second. That's really really good. Still, Odin hunting is 1.1 by default, so that's still better!

If you all remember most of the AOE and even AOM games have for hunting ubgrade called Hunting dogs and in AOM Thor have one more ubgrade as bonus... But they delete it in Retold 😔 Atleast Hunting Dogs the Thor Ubgrade idk i dont realy look on it much yet and i play mostly Freyer and Zeus 😅

I wouldn't say so. I think you need to change your mindset to rushing heroic as soon as you win water so that you can get purse seine and fish becomes really good again!

@@HUSKSUPPE you showed a solid base level for all gather rates. And this was good. The quality of your video and the writing was very good. It was very clean and professional. Perhaps later on you could even compare gather rates between civs and specific gods to show economic strategies in their gathering rates.

Maybe full upgraded farms are faster then hunt especially skadi? (Not sure if the relic for better farming still exists)

Fully upgraded Skadi farms will give you 0.7 +10% +10% +10% +20% = 1.05 food/second. Almost as much as hunt, which is great considering it's permanent farms and you don't have to move them around at all!
