I’ve had this cover on my F350 Dually for almost 3 years. I must say it does a great job of covering and protecting the bed and things that mights be stored in it. No complaints with the quality of construction.

You will get a lot of good years out of your Retrax. I’ve had a Retrax cover on my Chevy 2500 HD since 2005. That truck has been retired from hauling duty and is going to my wife for her daily travels as I now have a new Ram 3500 long bed dually to haul our 5th wheel. I just ordered the aluminum version for my new truck and am anxiously awaiting it to arrive so I can install it for my next trip. What can I say, Retrax has been an awesome company with great customer service and will always have a satisfied customer with me!

Thanks for the review you guys! Wife and I are looking now for our 2012 Ram 3500. I want to carry a 12' kayak as well. Debating if I should do a roof rack like you guys have or a ladder rack style. Is it easy to load and unload the kayaks from the roof?

I looked at that one but it took up too much room at the front of the bed where I have a truck box. I ended up getting a soft cover that is "locked" when the tailgate is locked. Keeps honest people honest. Someone tried to get in when we were parked at Hoover Dam but since the tailgate was locked they just moved on. But both sides were pulled up so I assume they wanted to see what was in the bed (5th wheel hitch and an ice chest). I wish I was able to find a hard cover that would work with the toolbox.

Just to keep it honest, You lose about a foot or more space in the bed of your truck. I hope anything of value you put in there is ok to get wet because it is not leak proof and your stuff will get wet if it rains. It can also bind up from time to time so have some lube handy. Otherwise everything is true.

Do NOT BELIEVE this review - I have the same aluminum Retrax cover on you Ford f-250 and it leaks very very bad. This cover is not worth the money. It leaks and cannot be fixed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $ on this cover.

Excellent review..Having used the key fob activated Retrax myself on a Ford F350 , I can say it's a quality product that offers security and privacy for your truck bed..

great review! I would have like to see the place where the cover coils up as to see how much intrudes into the front of the box and a close up of cover construction itself. Seems like a great solution especially with a fifth wheel.

Using the bed cover as a ladder... No way are you or anybody else standing on the top of that or any bed cover. This script read is about as bad as it gets.

I said it before. I'm loving this channel. The cover looks really nice. How much of the bed does it take up? I had a Roll and Lock and it took up a lot of space. That truck was a 6ft bed and it took up almost 2ft.

The canister for it to roll up is less than a foot :) Really compact!

Do you recommend this product? I saw pics of people jumping on it to break in, do you think it can hold up to someone jumping on it with all that pressure at one point? Also, what connects the slats? Is it rubber that holds the slats together? Can someone just use a razorblade to cut the slats past the lock then push it open? I Don't wanna spend over a grand on something that can be broken into easily 🤔

Good cover in a dry climate. Bad cover when it rains. Called Retrax to tell them about it..they flat out told me that it leaks! 🤔

Do you get a lot of flutter on the cover going down the road? I got the Roll-n-lock and it was horrible. Returned it and now waiting on this cover. I know this one is a much better quality so I'm excited, just curious as to your thoughts. Thanks.

@@rudycantelumber4341 I did and it lasted maybe 6 months. Wheels started to jam up. I loved it, but it was getting to be a pain in the you know what. Ended up ditching it and getting a diamond back cover, Now that has been incredible, and I HIGHLY recommend it

I purchased my retrax mx last year and like you found everything about it to be more than imagined. I had a problem with backing into a campsite that was to small for our 5th wheel and caught one side rail with the trailer hardware. Well the rail didn’t make it but it was totally my fault. I found out you cannot order one rail. They produce them in pairs so now I have a left hand rail for an eight foot dually Silverado if anyone makes a dumb yes dumb mistake like I did. When ordering my replacement rail retrax sent rails for a 7 foot box. I called and they sent the correct rails no cost. Their service was great. I highly recommend Retrax products.
