Swami Atmajnanananda is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order and the Minister of the
Vedanta Center of Greater Washington, D.C. A scholar in Vedanta, in his last visit to
Nashville, Swamiji gave a series of lectures in the Upanishads, Vedanta, Jnana, and
Bhakti. He also inspired us to learn Sri Ramakrishna’s teachings and to read The
Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, a book that contains the essence of all Hindu scriptures.
About the retreat - Panchakosha - Who am I?
In this retreat, Swamiji will address the Panchakosha concept of viewing our existence in
five distinct layers (sheaths), with the intention to help separate self from non-self (Atma
and Anatma). This topic will be covered in two lectures on Saturday.
