Psychic attacks might be despised, but Kyras might only be using his psychic abilities to communicate and guide the Exterminatus fleet. For actual combat, Kyras might be still engaging in melee. Khorne might not care from where the blood comes, but it is so much better when the blood is shed by the edge of a blade
