Just bought it. Gave me TV Sports Football vibes from the Amiga, although that was from a different perspective. Love the retro look on this. And man, 2,99€ - there's really nothing you can do wrong at that price.

I have 10 seasons sunk into this game on mobile. Love this game and great to hear the controls have translated well. That's the only thing I was worried about. Also cool to see a few new things added as well.

This definitely hits the Tecmo Bowl itch. Adding defense play calls would be awesome. On kick returns I suggest choosing a player with top speed, I've scored many kick return TDs.

I personally opted for spending much more and getting Tecmo Bowl Kickoff for DS vs this as I get the handheld I want while getting a game with much more depth and better gameplay. I also like that I can edit all the teams and players to make it match modern NFL teams and rosters.

Sports games are the epitome of replayability and you would be hard pressed to feel bad spending what amounts to pocket change on this title. The aiming system is the one thing that is a downside for me. I do like the management style of the game, definitely has more content than you would have expected for a discount title.

I love it too, and I haven't even watched a NFL game. But this is right up my alley, I have played a lot of NHL franchise / my GM mode. And this is perfect, simple mechanics and a fairly deep management system. It's very stripped down but keeps the fun stuff!

What a coincidence as I was only looking for a American Football game earlier this week. I opted for the Mutant Football League which I would say is very different but still very fun to play. for the kick off you need to assign one of your players to return the ball , if you don't do that it will be a generic slow player returning, on the roster open the player you want then on top left it shows 2 flags, HOF ( hall of fame ) and KR ( kick return) so you just enable last one and that will be your player to return the kick off, Im really enjoying the game already played 4 seasons (just like 5 games simulated) and its really good later on you need to trade your valuable players since those get expensive and your salary cap its not enough so it pushes you to look at rookies every year and build them, a whole new game at that point.

I think a cool vs mode would be to have two players race across a field with an identical offense. First to, say, 1,000 meters wins, but if you throw a pick or fail to convert a 4th down then you lose if you're behind or move the end zone to where you lost for your opponent and once they cross it they win.

Last I heard, it was a single dev working on the game. I do wish you could change up your defense a bit. Right now, it’s just whoever you have drafted as your defense. Pass defense means more DB but you’re vulnerable to the run. I ended up going with two DL, two DB, and 1 LB but it’s still lackluster.

Its too bad that you had to give a statement about football to the audience at the beginning but I guess people are just unaware sometimes. That kind of attitude could be considered racist or discrimitory in nature towards you. Its definitly not right but thanks for the review. I wish we could get more of these arcade like sports games, most sports games now are just simulators, which isn't too much fun. Who do you have for the Superbowl this year? I'm going for the Rams.

It's sad how big third party devs from west and japan keep refusing to put their AAA titles on the Switch then again Switch tech is 15 years behind ps or xbox.
