Retro Bowl POWER RANKINGS | Gameplay Ep.10

The official Retro Bowl power rankings are out! Jenk is covering the entire league with full rosters, stats, and more. This is not a mod, just edited for the video. Stats are generated off averages from other Extreme difficulty save files that I played in a similar style and then weighted against the actual in-game results of my Houston save. Long story short - it's all made up for fun so the league feels more real.
Player names are based off irl and retired players or directly ripped from the in-game draft.

I have so many things to pack into one comment: 1. Your videos are on ANOTHER LEVEL like these are absolutely insane, you should have millions of subscribers. Brought to you by Rate Farm, Like a Good Stalker, (ah I mean, friend) Rate Farm is there! Tennessee is Collapsing!! An 8-5 record? That’s decent. But when three weeks ago, you were 8-2! That’s terrible! Hank Derrick’s injury has the team looking like the team that drafted Super Mariota in 2015! It’s a good example to how one player can do so much! Tennessee is going to need to rally, as they will need to win out to clinch the division! Houston is in the same win-out boat as the Titans, they could be the biggest dark horse of the season and win the division! They’re already improving as most RSN (Retro Sport Network) officials had Houston with a 5-12 to 7-10 record! I see TEN finishing with a 10-7 record! 11-6 floor at highest! I think Houston will go 4-1 and move to 10-7 on the season, winning the #4 or #7 spot. (Depending on the last round of Tennessee vs Houston) 8-9 floor! Now OROY Vote! I have not made a sure decision, but Savage is my choice so far. He is beginning to fall as he sees less plays and may get the spotlight stolen by Nick Leggett! DROY Vote! I’m doing my best to take the Oregon bias way, but Cookiedough looks so good! (I want cookies now) But Raiden ShadowLegends is still up for debate too! OPOY Vote! It might help that Boomer Brrrr is his QB, but to me, Chase Uno is my choice, despite the Vikings depth at WR!) DPOY Vote! For me, the answer is CLEAR as day! Hakeem Walton may have gotten off to a slow start but I believe he is the best player in the league! Just kidding! For me it is a tight race between Stephon Killsmore and Chargers linebacker, Khalil Sack! (This might be a new guy…) who racked up an astonishing three sacks, an interception and twelve tackles! MVP Vote! To me, Boomer Brrr is top on the list, followed closely by Josh Kelly! Brrr’s spectacular wide receiver corp may be why! I guess Uno and Brrr complete each other and will go a LONG way in this league! Thanks for coming to THE WAY-TOO-LONG ANALYSIS! Thanks for giving us amazing content RSR! Keep it up, my friend! For Tex: I have a ranking of the 7 biggest needs for Houston 1. LB is the biggest need in my opinion. Ever since the departure of JJ Bulb, Houston has lacked that Edge Rusher that can get to the QB. This years first rounder should absolutely be used on a guy like that, who can eat QBs like steak dinner. 2. Of all the big needs, O-Line help may be the least talked about. But a big guy in the trenches would be a HUGE game changer for our offensive game! Jomal Locke has been excellent this year, despite the fact that our offensive line is ranked in the bottom 10 in the league. If we get a big, aggressive, athletic Tackle or Guard, I truly believe that Houston could have a Running game to rival both Indy, and Tennessee. 3. We need to fire Jaimes, and we need to do it first thing this off-season. Watching our 3rd Down Play-calling this year has been absolutely BRUTAL! Smegman has proven to be an insanely good hire. He’s the only reason they’re in the playoff hunt right now. But I’m sorry, neither of his coordinators are anywhere ready for this level of play. I considered including Okudah somewhere on here, but he’s had less to work with, and still managed some good stuff with what limited talent he’s given. Jaimes on the other hand, he has to go! 4. Simms is not Himms. Lame jokes aside, I don’t hate Simms. He seems like a cool guy, but that doesn’t mean he is a great Kicker. Houston has plenty of Cap Space to sign a top flight Kicker, and if you can get a kicker who hits 50+ yarders consistently, you suddenly have to do way less in a tie ball game with a minute left in the 4th at your own 20 with only 1 timeout. 5. You may be surprised to see TE ahead of other major issues, but hear me out, I think I have a good reason. DeLance Garvin is our QB. He isn’t the greatest, but he is serviceable, he’s able to get the ball to Savage and Leggett pretty well, but his range is limited. So when Savage is too far down field, and when Leggett can’t finesse his way open, his only other target is Locke, who lets be honest here, has stone hands, dude can’t catch unless the ball is thrown into his chest. Garvin needs a safety blanket, and I’m not talking about the one he shares with Mrs. Herron. Picking up a young, steady Tight End in the 2nd or 3rd round would be a huge development! Plus, with our new Stud O-Lineman, he could potentially be a free 10 yards on any pass play up the middle. 6. I put Defensive Lineman lower than I thought I would because honestly, it hasn’t proven to be a massive problem yet. Things may change when we play Tennessee and Indy again, but so far, Okudah has managed to mask this hole pretty well, with Iupati being as hard hitting as he is. It may become a problem in the near future, but I personally believe it can wait another season. Banogu was solid for us, but he has struggled since we’ve traded him, maybe it’s just scheming? 7. I like Iupati, but I think if he doesn’t develop his pass coverage capabilities, we may need to give the backfield more juice. A lockdown Corner may become a necessity in the near future. 8. Finally, a real franchise QB. DeLance is great, but he’s limited, we should let him go in Free Agency, maybe he can ReUnite with Herron in Vegas. I think instead of drafting someone, by this time, Free Agent QBs would be willing to sign with Houston seeing the culture Smegman has cultivated.
