Retro bowl is a great game. The mechanics are very good. Since I have been playing Retro Bowl , I have won several Retro bowl games with 3 different teams. It feels good to win a bowl game. Just like I won the super bowl. The game is a lot of fun, especially when you winning.

Draft 2 stud corners, 2 stud DL, build your offense with great wrs, te, & rb. You just need a 3 star qb.

So many great combos and possibilities in this game! My got to set is QB, RB, TE, WR, 5 OL, 3 Defensive players (DL or CBs) ... if I've got a younger QB I will run the ball more behind the best OL I can build. As the QB gets more experience I will draft a fast WR and not resign them so I keep the cost of the WR low since there are a bunch of them available.

I am a little surprised, but you missed something massive! You were strafing to avoid tackles. This slows your player down and is hard to pull off. If you tap the screen at the moment a player tries to tackle, you do a little jump. If you pull it off, the defender is on the ground and you keep running.

@@Gotflagfootball hello mate, just recently went 16-0, swept the playoffs & with a Bowl, full difficulty 💪 should have recorded the whole thing, it was legendary run. My team was 5 Star O and 4 D. Im planning to do it again but not this season, im 4-3 right now, next season maybe lol

I'm fine with the plays the way they are but I'm on the fence about defense. I just don't know how much control you would have on a mobile phone. You might have more control of players playing on the Nintendo Switch

Your video got me to buy it. It is fun but I wished it showed the defense and let you pick defenses. Possibly even play a specific player like a safety or blitzer. At least show it! Kick offs and punt returns should be playable too! Choose to fair catch, etc. A trick play allotment. Better the OC the more trick plays available per game. Also more end zone celebrations. Dancing and team hugs. Also pile on in last second or amazing wins.

I think this a good video and a love this game but I gotta disagree with going hard mode for training players. Injury’s in this game are brutal and if you make a team that’s not as good on offense one good player on offense getting injured is almost a confirmed loss. Although getting more XP faster is nice all it means is that it takes less time to max out your players, which in a game where every thing already goes by super fast it’s hurts the experience, at least for me. It’s good if you want young players to get good but half the time it’s better just to let young players level up a little bit so that their worth more in the draft and can be traded for a player who is better from the get go. Good video, I just wanted to give my argument against hard training mode. Theirs so many ways to play this game tho so really theirs no real correct answer.

I've actually noticed more injuries within recent updated versions of the game. I have continued with the same strategy in order to develop players faster. But I am seeing the trend of more injuries, as well.

As he said, once you have maximum training and rehab, you can afford to risk hard training for maximum value. It is a "rich get richer" kind of thing. If you have two Wide Receivers, a Tight End Half Back and Quarter Back, then you can afford to have players go down. You can win games with only two weapons, and the others are icing on the cake. Losing some to injury won't kill your team, but the extra XP is worth more than the risk.

you cant. Thats part of the challenge. if you buy the Unlimited version, your cap goes up 50 mil. because your max players can go up to 12. But for the most part, 200 mil is the max, so you have to build the ultimate team around that or the 150 mil with the free version.

You have to manage your salary cap each season. Every player you trade away will free up space in your salary cap.

The typical and sly "play for free" game. Its funny if you don't spend money on the game and increase the "salary cap" getting a 5-star and competitive defense is impossible. That means for half the games your defense will give up touchdowns every time (after season 1-2). See the subtlety and I would say questionable mechanics (free to play mechanics). Also, when on offense, during the post season 1 and 2 seasons, your five star offensive players will consecutively drop passes or get outright interfered with (and I'm not talking within 5 yards from line of scrimmage, I'm talking 10-20 yards down the field) to force you to turn over the football. I can't speak to the paid version, because after season 2 it was apparent that these infrequent forced offensive failures were there (along with your defenses inability to stop anything) to weaken your will into spending money on this game (i.e. increase salary cap, increase coaching, increase talent on your team). SUMMARY: This is a sly "play for free" game that plays on people's weakness to chase a virtual carrot. It lets you have the first carrot for free, but after frustrates you in order to get your pocket book open. I try not to give "Play for Free" games a rating above 3. The mechanics in this game are fun, however as mentioned, after season 2, frustration will set in (likely). My recommendation is just to restart a new season after season 2, if you want keep playing for free.

Add on to above: it's not that the game doesn't attract users, its that it offers up two different experiences. If you haven't played the "free to play" seasons 2+ then you're review only includes half the game play. That's all. The other part of the gameplay the "play for free" is just outright frustrating after the first full season.

Putting your training on hard just means half your team will spend half the season injured. Even with maxed out training and rehab facilities as soon as I switched to hard train I almost couldn't go a single game without an injury. Terrible advice.

Take it easy with your emotional overreaction buddy. Look at the icon in the upper right corner, next to the Training Regime. Clearly states injuries occur more frequently but XP is gained more quickly. Pick your poison and don't cry to everyone online if it doesn't go your way for a few games lol

@@bredincaptivity4692 the key is to check the players conditioning each week. If they are getting low, they are more likely to get injured. Especially if the training regiment is set to 'hard'. But the benefit is that the younger players will gain experience much faster.
