I’m drooling over the BttF build….and the pedestal with the built in tv. Looked these guys up earlier this year and am very still interested but the prices are the hurdle I’d need to get over. These guys and Extreme Home Arcades outta Wisconsin make some sweet looking stuff.

James and I tried to play these, picking the game was tricky, after not being able to choose the game we wanted it randomly gave us Street Fighter 2. We were ok with it until we found the controls were wonky. My up didn’t respond correctly and I think his kick didn’t. I came back again later, tried to use a controller instead and it wouldn’t connect. It could be user error on my part, but it was not a good experience for me.
@YourRetro-CadeКүн бұрын
Hey hate to hear you had a bad experience! Navigation is pretty simple as it's only a select and an exit. As far as the controls being wonky it depends what system you played street fighter 2 in. If you played it from the arcade menu the controls should mirror the arcade. If you played it from another menu it would mirror whatever controller that system has. As far as the controllers go, we normally have them off for the show as with 13 machines there you have to sync it per machine and it's just easier to keep them off unless someone asks us we don't have them plugged in.
@PDubsArcadeLoft20 сағат бұрын
Sorry to hear about your experience!
@GalagaGuy8820 сағат бұрын
@@YourRetro-Cade yes we tried select and exit, they unfortunately just kept rearranging the menu. When we got in to Street fighter 2 I would have to hit up on the arcade stick 3 or 4 times to get my character to jump. It was really weird. Maybe a fluke incident. They look great and I’m not trying to dog on the product, just wish I had a better experience. Maybe next time!

Very cool cabs! However, for $4,000+ I would rather fill my room with 1ups to get the arcade room vibe. I'm currently in the process of modding all my cabs into multicades to get rid of 1ups' short lifespan PCBs. I already turned my blitz cab into a real blitz arcade for the late hits and swearing lol.

I’ve checked them out thoroughly and considered buying one. This company is insanely overpriced for what they offer. The software is outdated, the light gun tech is far from the best at that price, really the list goes on and on. I was shocked what their pricing was for the poor quality. They are so proud of the drawer though! The drawer is all they’ve got.

How is any of this legal? Are these legally licensed ROMs? Did they get Nintendo's approval for use of their logo and other artwork and games?!? I don't understand how companies like this exist when compared to cabinets like 1ups or any other that is legally licensed. There is no way they have licensed 60,000 games on a machine. So, how does this work? Does one buy one and then have to be worried about having it taken away because it's illegal? I get it if an individual builds their own, but a company that profits off of illegally obtained ip?

Nobody is coming to your house to take your Arcade away.
@orangewhipsterКүн бұрын
@@PDubsArcadeLoft that's not really my point.

Dude…..relax. The people who buy these machines are the same people who drive the industry by buying consoles, games, 1Ups, digital downloads, etc.
@orangewhipster22 сағат бұрын
Again....not my point. What in my comment or responses needs me to calm down? I'm not excited nor upset or mad at all....it's a 100% legit question. How are companies like this allowed to exist when they are essentially selling stolen goods?
@TheRetroMachineTV22 сағат бұрын
@@orangewhipster yeah, they’re all over Amazon. It’s all out in the open. Nintendo goes after websites that host their IP content, but no one seems to go after drive builders, probably because it’s like playing whack-a-mole. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. It’s probably like the cops who let you always go 5 mph over the speed limit, they don’t want to be chasing down every single person. Much content is also lost to rights management hell (like Mr. Do and Ladybug) and owned by companies who bought out other companies and don’t even bother to monetize the IP. Nintendo seems to be the only company that ever acts, and even then they’re lax. Five Below was even selling handhelds with Nintendo IP on there.
