6:55 although it may seem obvious lots of people still do this to this day and many of them are injured or killed therefore what the guy said is good advice. There are many reasons why people attempt to beat trains. 1. They think that they can successfully win a race against it. What they of course don’t realize is that the train may be going much faster than they are meaning that they won’t be able to get across the tracks in time. 2. They are impatient. This often happens when people are on their way to work or on their way home. People obviously don’t want to be late to work and they often want to get home as soon as possible so being stopped by a train is often a inconvenience to them thus giving them a excuse to attempt to beat the train across in a attempt to get to their destination on time. What people don’t realize is that one it is far better to arrive at your destination a few minutes late than to be dead as if you are dead then you can’t get to your destination at all and two it usually only takes a few 1 to 5 minutes for a train to pass. 3. They misjudge the speed and distance of the train. Oftentimes the train they see seems like it is far away and going slow thus making them think that they have enough time to get across. What they don’t realize is that trains have a optical illusion which makes them look further away and slower than they actually are when in reality they are actually going much faster and are much closer. 4. They think that a train can stop for them like another vehicle. What they don’t realize is that by the time a train sees you even if the engineer applies the brakes there is usually no way that they will be able to stop in time to avoid hitting anything or anyone on the tracks. A train traveling at 55 miles per hour for example will take a mile or more to stop which is approximately 18 football fields. 5. They don’t realize the consequences that doing so would have on other people such as their families, friends, community, and train crews.

The Bravestarr one about drugs was a good PSA as well. That whole episode was so sad and didn’t pull any punches. He talks directly to the kids about drugs and addiction at the end and I remember I was like “wow dark episode but good message”. Ty for the videos and content. If you take requests, would you consider doing a video about Static Shock PSAs? They did do a few and you could also include other shows with some messages that actually were mixed in. The Underdwellers ep of Batman: TAS had a good scene where the kid Bruce rescues has a gun and is pointing it at Alfred. Bruce takes the gun away and says it wasn’t loaded but it could have been, basically saying how dangerous they are. Also, maybe some Transformers G1 PSAs please? Those were pretty good too. However, a year before this PSA, I offered my classmates sunscreen when the school was going outdoors all day in May, and none of them would take any, so they fired and cried to me afterward, and I was 8... Saddly some of the teachers didn't have sunscreen and were burn too.
