A lot of the rituals and aesthetic of Christmas come from an older time when we were more connected with nature (just a few examples are the tree, garlands, yule logs, even Santa). While the Christian celebration of Christmas is beautiful in both meaning and celebrations, you definitely don’t have to be Christian to celebrate this season. Google winter solstice or Yule customs to learn more!

Your magazines flip throughs are one of my favourites, you always have such a cozy energy...love it.........Maybe we could replace the frustration about ripped pages with curiosity. I would imagine a small child going through the pages, hoping to have a home like that one day, believing in miracles with this Christmas spirit in the air...Without having the means to get the magazine she/he took the images and maybe secretly put them under the pillow to ask fairies/Santa Claus/Jesus to bring her one of those cozy homes some day... ❤😘💕

I grew up reading this magazine, my mother had a subscription. Our house growing up was old with beams and my mother decorated it just like this magazine. I've lived in a couple of houses since then and I don't decorate this way now, but I still love the way it looks!
