I love how Nutnfancy started using them as a low key way to carry concealed, and now when I see a fanny pack, I basically just see a gun holster, because pretty much the only people who wear waist packs are people carrying guns. And I think you're right, that's pretty much because of him.

This pack is awesome! Great work bag, beautifully built, don’t use it as a fanny pack yet, but I will when I go hiking. The waist strap fits my waist as a petite female, but also goes out far enough to use as a sling pack. LOVE it, I have the large which holds quite a bit of mom working essentials. definitely recommend vanquest products, they are well thought out and I love that you can luggage lock the pack in case you want to CCW...

I mostly wear my fanny pack while bicycle riding. I have a inexpensive "tacticool" style , it has lots of molle attachment on all sides. I use plastic "tacticool" carabiners on the front of my handle bars using it as a bike handlebar bag , just square away the waist strap . I also put a couple sleeping bag straps in the fanny pack , using them to lash down extra cargo ( jackets or packages , etc. ). Thanks again for a fun solid review . Thanks

i like that they sell the 2x7 inch "sticky panel" to hold even more edc gear. this might not seem like a big deal at first, but if all my tools are free floating, my current sling bag honestly can't hold as much AND it makes the sling bag much more bloated and awkward to carry. just food for thought.

@@maysdogus I have been looking at the HMG Versa, but haven't spent the money yet. It is the only waterproof one I have been able to find. I sweat a lot when backpacking.

I bought the 5-11 gray blue fanny pack but loop over the shoulder. Fits a 4” , 1911 perfectly. Two extra mags and a small flashlight.

Ive been wanting a fanny pack for a while but never really saw any that made me say "me want".... Till now. I just ordered a 5.11 MOAB 10 and now I gotta order this. Im spending sooooo much this month. Glad Vanquest makes a good CCW holster for this too. Gotta grab 2 of those, one going to the 5.11 bag. Keep up the great content man, love your videos. I wish I could go backpacking in the woods but Im stuck in west Texas desert.

It’s just funny seeing guys ONLY wear them across their chest. Basically a damn purse. Waist packs have been my go to for a long time. Especially on a dirt bike or motorcycle. My aunt kept guns in her fanny pack. Lil 4’6” lady that I wouldn’t mess with 😂

While not a conventional fanny pack, I’ve used the pack safe vibe 150 for a couple of years for urban edc and travel. It’s great for keeping your stuff secure from pickpockets and the like. In a non firearm self defence situation it can even be used to provide slash protection across the torso if you quickly flip it to the front. The size and utility of these types of bags are underrated!

What brand is that holster? I want to get one for my dad.. he just got a m&p 9 compact 2.0 and wants to carry it, but will very rarely wear a holster so then gun basically becomes a truck gun. I'm pretty sure he would carry concealed this way since he's wore fanny packs in the past. Thanks.

Fanny pack with a single buckle to secure it is quite easy to snatch if you are not very aware of your surroundings. I think those packs are great for edc but not great for toting a gun in. Just one man’s opinion.

The Vanquest is twice the price of the Bandicoot. $78.00 for a fanny pack? It's bigger than the Bandicoot, but not by much. Personally, I like the removable panel on the Bandicoot. It gives you more options for carrying. I've never been a big fan of compartments in any bag, except my medical lit. It's not like I'm carrying a drawer full of gear in a fanny pack that I have to go pawing thru to find something. If I were looking to wear a waist pack as a sling bag (and I'm not), I'd be looking at the Helikon-Tex satchel, which will hold a whole lot more that a waist pack, and is still less expensive than the large Dendrite. I really like the bright colored interior on the Vanquest. Smart idea. But for $78 bucks....not happening for me.

I have the vanquest fat pack love it almost bought a vanquest backpack ended up with a bag made in Finland forgot the exact name says Savotta on it great bag really tough 1000 Cordura all over tons of Molle and other strappings 30 liters so it’s not to big or small for little guys like me at 5ft 6 inches of pure muscle💪🏻. I ll take the grey bag with the glock thanx 🤗.

I also carry generic "tacticool" cross shoulder bag when i need only bare essentials and not full backpack. why would be tossing aside fantastic utilities just because you'd look "funny"?

There is a simple rule when it comes to fanny packs. Don't wear em arround the waiste like a total nerd and your actually trendy. Also I think the helicon tex Bandicote is much more thought out! Really like the velcro on the inside and replaceable loop and pocket system that comes with the bag. But the small strap are a downer. I use the Bandicote for EDC but also as a camera bag for my DSLR. + they offer so many colorways which is really outstanding!

I just don't understand why they have this priced at $60, that's just plain ignorant. No way it costs them anywhere near that to make this. When a company is this greedy, I cant support that. Kelty makes literally the exact same fanny pack for $25........Add the word "tactical" to something and it increases the price 600%. IF these were made in the U.S.A. I would pay this price, but they are made in Taiwan and Vietnam.

I've got a cheap ($15 on Amazon) VAN BEEKEN pack to test out. Says it's waterproof / water resistent. We'll see. :) Guessing you've also seen a lot of *nutnfancy* videos with his shameless fannypack system. :)
