I'm curious about the reason you put the template on white vinyl, and then removed it from the vinyl. I was thinking that leaving it on the vinyl and wrapping the whole thing around the cup might keep the adhesive from stretching, which mine always does, and could be a cheat to get around base painting the tumbler. Maybe I'm missing something?

I did the leave the vinyl on, I believe I stated to make sure you only remove the backing of the white vinyl, not the vinyl itself. It is a cheat method from base painting your tumbler white.
