From what I've experienced it doesn't seem like stick drift but more the sticks being WAAAAY too sensitive with no inner deadzones and maxing out too soon with too much outer deadzone

No this is a definite situation where you can feel control being taken away from you. It's not 100% reproducible either. ie it happens at random. My guess is that it's a software configuration issue that only affects some games and how they treat controller input.

@@goukigod I also noticed the rumble is very weak on GameCube and almost too strong on switch, really makes me want retro fighters to have a firmware update. Makes me appreciate all the effort that went into 8bitdo's offering and how much support they have vs RF

Very true. I feel like 8Bitdo are a step above everything else in this space right now.

What i want to know is if you can connect multiple dongles onto one single controller like the original wavebird
@goukigod Жыл бұрын
To control multiple inputs with the one controller? I don't think so. Plugging in another dongle that ins't paired blocks the connection of a paired dongle and controller. I suppose there may be a workout but not that I stumbled across.

Is there a pad for use with android, by any chance?

Does this controller have motion controls? I want to use it for splatoon
@goukigod Жыл бұрын
No. It works with the Switch but it's primarily a GameCube controller

It also works with Nintendo Wii console right

My issue with this controller is the triggers. Try playing mario sunshine its awful. Im sad cause i wanted to like it. The half pull and full are super close together along with a big deadzone when pressing and its difficult to shoot water and run.

Original best controller loved it as a kid when it was new I love the old school Gameboy player controller to buy an looking at this one he's talking about just don't like the 4 buttons on front lol wish they did z button better

Anything with stick drift is not a good controller. And smash is infinitely bigger than any other GameCube game having the smaller c stick for a quick flick is a must

Retrofighters is one of the most 3rd partu feeling when it comes to retro controllers. Do they work fine? Yes. But sticks arent as good, the unnecessary features and the cheaper feel to it screams 3rd party. Especially the turbo. Like I would be fine with that, if it wasnt so expensive outside of america. It's cheaper to get a 1st party one with shipping cost

There is new gamecube mod out now from a company called laser bear so you use any Bluetooth controller. Better than to use an xbox controller over the retrofitted controller now.

I agree that the GC controller was the worst of its generation. The og xbox and ps2 had vastly superior controllers. The only people I have known to argue against that stance are the smash players. If your justification for loving a controller is one game, then that's a pretty weak argument imo.

I personally feel that the gamecube controller is the most comfortable for platform games, for everything else I would use any other controller (xbox preferably, I don't like the ps one at all)

There's a large quantity of games I prefer the GameCube layout for. Basically any game where one of the face buttons constitutes 80% of my button pressing, the GameCube style wins out. That's most RPGs.
