I have to agree with you for sure! I bought a brand new 1988 Civic SE back in the day. You probably have not heard of an 88 SE as they were only available in Canada. It has taken me the last year and a half to find one that I could buy. They are very rare.

best Honda Civic in my opinion. I had one back in the day. 1990 four-door silver paint job . gold wheels. slammed to the ground 1.5 liter engine. since I moved into my new house I've been finding those old windup cameras and I've been developing photos trying to find a picture of my car. I miss that car so much

my friend just bought one recently, it was a Malaysian assembled version ED6, previous owner already did EF9 body parts conversion, it looks beautiful, it handles well and under the hood, it's been swapped out for a ZC DOHC engine, instead of the stock D15 carbuttered motor. It has very low center gravity and feels like a road-going go kart. Thumbs up for the good work of Honda engineers and designers back in the eighties

l bought a Daihatsu Charade Turbo instead of a Civic SiR back in 1992. A mate bought it and we had a loads of good memories racing each other around the legendary Shah Alam Motogp curcuit when Sepang was only a dream.My mom had the twin carb saloon version back in 1988.

When your daily is called retro xd Im only 15 and i have a red 1989 honda civic hatchback si its pretty clean not as clean as this one but looks ok probably going to paint it soon as long with a turbo to make a little more power they are just so slow and is kinda sketchy jumping over highways and such. But is a really fun car and is a great first car fun to play around in.

Performance wise this is car is more similar to my Crz than the Crz to the old Crx! 😂 Are you going to test a Crz in the future? I'm really interested in your opinion, since you are an Honda expert

You need to get your hands on the Honda Civic ee9, if no one knows what that is it's the 4g with the b16 in it.

That is exactly what I was going to suggest. I own one and there isn't a proper review of this Honda on YT.

@princesssolace43377 жыл бұрын
Use to be dime a dozen around South East Asia and when the EG was released everyone trade their SiR...these days hardly see them except on weekends and mostly driven by 40 yrs young guy ;-)

@kunjeeboi no, he is talking about ee9 which is the eu version. I do have one as well. it has the b16a1 engine with 150hp.

@PerformanceCarsChannel7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, when I first got into the car, I was surprised and I drive the S2000 which is a low car already. Has yours been reliable?
@kunjeeboi7 жыл бұрын
Mine is a 1990 EF2 which is an import spec from Japan. Dual Carbs but very reliable (Drove 700KM non-stop up to Cameron Highlands, Malaysia) and economical. With a little bit of carb adjustment and DIY, you can squeeze out a little more power. www.civiclife.net/board/topic/36098-dual-carb-tuning-guide/
